| 57:1 | To the chief musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for my soul trusts in You; yea, in the shadow of Your wings I will make my hiding place, until the great destruction passes by. |
| 57:2 | I will cry to God most High, to God who works for me. |
| 57:3 | He shall send from Heaven and save me; He will shame the one who crushes me. Selah. God shall send His mercy and His truth. |

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985.
