Textus Receptus Bibles

Jay P. Green's Literal Translation 1993

2:1Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity?
2:2The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying ,
2:3We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us.
2:4He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them.
2:5Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath;
2:6Yea, I have set My king on My holy mount on Zion.
2:7I will declare concerning the statute of Jehovah: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.
2:8Ask of Me, and I will give the nations as Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession.
2:9You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
2:10Now, then, be wise, O kings; be taught, O judges of the earth:
2:11Serve Jehovah with fear; yea, rejoice with trembling.
2:12Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Oh the blessings of all those who flee to Him for refuge!

Green's Literal Translation 1993

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
