Jay P. Green's Literal Translation 1993

87:1For the Sons of Korah. A Psalm. A Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.
87:2Jehovah loves the gates of Zion more than all the tents of Jacob.
87:3Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah.
87:4I will mention Rahab and Babylon to those who know me; behold, Philistia and Tyre with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
87:5And it shall be said to Zion, This man and that man was born in her; and the Highest Himself shall establish her.
87:6In recording the peoples Jehovah shall mark down, This man was born there. Selah.
87:7And the singers, the players of the pipe: all my springs are in You.

Green's Literal Translation 1993

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
