Jay P. Green's Literal Translation 1993

122:1A Song of Ascents; of David. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.
122:2Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.
122:3Jerusalem is built like a city that is joined to itself, together.
122:4There the tribes go up, the tribes of Jehovah; to the testimony of Israel; to give thanks to the name of Jehovah.
122:5For the thrones of judgment were established there, the thrones of the house of David.
122:6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; those who love you shall prosper.
122:7Peace be within your walls; prosperity in your towers.
122:8Because of my brothers and my companions, I will now say, Peace be in you.
122:9Because of the house of Jehovah, our God, I will seek your good.

Green's Literal Translation 1993

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
