Jay P. Green's Literal Translation 1993

146:1Praise Jehovah; praise Jehovah, O my soul.
146:2While I live I will praise Jehovah; I will sing praises to my God while I have being.
146:3Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, for there is no salvation in him.
146:4His breath will go out, he returns to the earth; his thoughts perish in that day.
146:5Blessed is he who has the God of Jacob in his help; his hope is on Jehovah his God;
146:6who made the heavens and the earth, the seas and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;
146:7who executes judgment for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry; Jehovah sets free the prisoners;
146:8Jehovah opens the eyes of the blind; Jehovah raises those bowed down; Jehovah loves the righteous;
146:9Jehovah watches over the strangers; He relieves the orphan and the widow, but He warps the way of the wicked.
146:10Jehovah shall reign forever; O Zion, your God from generation and generation. Praise Jehovah.

Green's Literal Translation 1993

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
