Jay P. Green's Literal Translation 1993

114:1When Israel came out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
114:2Judah became His sanctuary, Israel His kingdom.
114:3The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back;
114:4the mountains skipped like rams; the little hills like lambs!
114:5What ails you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?
114:6O mountains, that you skip like rams? O little hills, like lambs?
114:7Tremble, O earth, from the face of the Lord, from the face of the God of Jacob;
114:8who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

Green's Literal Translation 1993

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
