34:1And the Lorde spake vnto Moses sayinge:
34:2commaunde the children of Israel and say vnto them: when ye come into the lande of Canaan, thys is the lande that shall fall vnto youre enherytaunce, the lande of Canaan wyth all her costes.
34:3And youre south quarter shalbe from the wyldernesse of Sin a longe by the coaste of Edom, so that youre south quarter shalbe from the syde of the salte sea eastward,
34:4and shall set a compasse from the south vp to Acrabim, and reache to Zinna. And it shal go out on the south syde of Cades Barne, and go out also at Bazar Adar, and go a long to Azmon.
34:5And shal fet a compasse from Azmon vnto the ryuer of Egypt, and shall go out at the sea.
34:6And your west quarter shall be the greate sea, which coaste shalbe your west coaste.
34:7And thys shalbe youre north quarter: ye shal compasse from the great sea vnto mount Hor.
34:8And from mount Hor, ye shal compasse and go vnto Hemath, and the ende of the coste shalbe at Zedada,
34:9and the coste shall reache out to Ziphron and go out at Hazar Enan. And thys shalbe your north quarter.
34:10And ye shall compasse youre east quarter from Hazar enan to Sepham.
34:11And the coste shall go doune from Sepham to Ribla on the east syde of Ain. And then descende and go out at the syde of the sea of Cenereth eastward.
34:12And then go downe a longe by Iordan, and leue at the salte sea. And thys shal be your lande wyth al the costes therof rounde about.
34:13And Moses commaunded the children of Israel saying: this is the land which ye shal enheret by lotte, and whych the Lorde commaunded to geue vnto .ix. trybes & an halfe:
34:14for the trybe of the children of Ruben haue receyued, in the housholdes of their fathers, and the trybe of the chyldren of Gad in their fathers housholdes, & halfe the trybe of Manasse, haue receyued their enheritaunce,
34:15that is to wete .ij. trybes and an halfe haue receyued their enheritaunce on the other syde of Iordan by Iericho eastwarde, towarde the sonne rysynge.
34:16And the Lorde spake to Moses sayinge:
34:17These are the names of the men, which shal deuyde you the land to enheret Eleazar the preast, & Iosua the sonne of Nun.
34:18And ye shall take also a Lorde of euery trybe to deuyde the lande,
34:19whose names are these: In the trybe of Iuda, Caleb the sonne of Iephune.
34:20And in the trybe of the chyldren of Simeon, Semuel the sonne of Amiud,
34:21& in the trybe of BenIamin, Elidad the sonne of Cislon.
34:22And in the trybe of the chyldren of Dan, the Lord Bucki the sonne of Iagli.
34:23And among the chyldren of Ioseph: in the trybe of the children of Manasse, the Lord Haniel the sonne of Ephod.
34:24And in the trybe of the chyldren of Ephraim, the Lorde Camuell the sonne of Siphtan.
34:25And in the trybe of the sonnes of Zabulon, the Lord Elizaphan the sonne of Pharnach.
34:26And in the trybe of the children of Isachar, the lord Palthiel the sonne of Asan.
34:27And the trybe of the sonnes of Aser, the lord Ahihud the sonne of Salomi.
34:28And in the trybe of the children of Nephthali, the Lord Peda El the sonne of Ammihud.
34:29These are they which the Lord commaunded to deuyde the enheritaunce vnto the chyldren of Israel, in the land of Canaan.

Matthew's Bible 1537

The Matthew Bible, also known as Matthew's Version, was first published in 1537 by John Rogers, under the pseudonym "Thomas Matthew". It combined the New Testament of William Tyndale, and as much of the Old Testament as he had been able to translate before being captured and put to death, with the translations of Myles Coverdale as to the balance of the Old Testament and the Apocrypha, except the Apocryphal Prayer of Manasses. It is thus a vital link in the main sequence of English Bible translations.
