| 125:1 | A Song of the Ascents. Those trusting in Jehovah `are' as Mount Zion, It is not moved -- to the age it abideth. |
| 125:2 | Jerusalem! mountains `are' round about her, And Jehovah `is' round about His people, From henceforth even unto the age. |
| 125:3 | For the rod of wickedness resteth not On the lot of the righteous, That the righteous put not forth on iniquity their hands. |
| 125:4 | Do good, O Jehovah, to the good, And to the upright in their hearts. |
| 125:5 | As to those turning `to' their crooked ways, Jehovah causeth them to go with workers of iniquity. Peace on Israel! |
Young's Literal Translation 1862
Young's Literal Translation is a translation of the Bible into English, published in 1862. The translation was made by Robert Young, compiler of Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible and Concise Critical Comments on the New Testament. Young used the Textus Receptus and the Majority Text as the basis for his translation. He wrote in the preface to the first edition, "It has been no part of the Translator's plan to attempt to form a New Hebrew or Greek Text--he has therefore somewhat rigidly adhered to the received ones."
