King James Bible 2016

New Testament

21:1And He looked up and saw the rich ones putting their gifts into the treasury,
21:2and He also saw a certain poor widow putting two mites in there.
21:3So He said, "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than they all have;"
21:4because, all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty has put in all the livelihood that she had."
21:5Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said,
21:6"As for these things which you see, the days will come in which not one stone will be left upon another that will not be thrown down."
21:7So they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, but when shall these things be? And what sign shall there be when these things are about to take place?"
21:8And He said: "Take heed that you be not be deceived. Because, many will come in My name, saying, 'I am Christ,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them."
21:9But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; because, these things must happen first, but the end is not yet."
21:10Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."
21:11And there will be large earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven."
21:12But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons; being brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake."
21:13But it will turn out for you as a testimony."
21:14Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer;"
21:15because, I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist."
21:16But you will be betrayed also by parents and brethren, relatives and friends; and some of you they will cause to be put to death."
21:17And you will be hated by all people for My name's sake."
21:18But not a hair of your head will perish."
21:19By your endurance you possess your souls."
21:20"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near."
21:21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of it depart out, and let not those who are in the country enter into it."
21:22Because these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled."
21:23But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babes in those days! Because there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people."
21:24And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
21:25"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;"
21:26men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, because the powers of heaven will be shaken."
21:27And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."
21:28Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
21:29Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees."
21:30When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near."
21:31So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near."
21:32Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place."
21:33Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away."
21:34"But take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with over indulgence, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that Day come upon you unexpectedly."
21:35Because, it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the entire earth."
21:36Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man."
21:37And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mount that is called The Mount of Olives.
21:38Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.

King James Bible 2016

Unlike most other modern versions, this Bible's text is based upon the same Hebrew Masoretic Text, and Greek Textus Receptus, of the King James Version of 1611.

In non Textus Receptus versions, the issue of having the best underlying manuscripts, is often overshadowed by the massive amount of omissions in the text. Because the KJV 2016 is not dealing with issues of omission and addition, the focus has been upon definition, and the KJV translators choices have been used as the benchmark.

One issue not often majored upon in the bible version debate is simply the way Greek words are defined. Many times, the NKJV leans upon the definition choices of modern versions as well as defaulting to Vines and Strong's definitions, which are almost always favorable to the Revised Version. In other words, one may have a correct text to translate from, but use erroneous modern version/modern dictionary definitions which change or distort the meaning of the words. Jay Green was accused of having a good TR bible but with "Alexandrian readings".

The KJV 2016 Edition rejects such erroneous modern definitions and restores the distinctness of historical KJV readings. The NKJV also tended to gravitate toward KJV marginal notes, which are in truth, rejected readings, and also toward Geneva Bible definitions, which the KJV had already cleared up.
