15:1 | A soft answer turns away wrath, but a hurtful word stirs up anger. |
15:2 | The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness. |
15:3 | The eyes of Jehovah are in every place watching the evil and the good. |
15:4 | A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it is a break of the spirit. |
15:5 | A fool despises his father's instruction, but he keeping correction is sensible. |
15:6 | In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but in the gain of the wicked is tumult. |
15:7 | The lips of the wise extend knowledge, but the heart of the fool is not so. |
15:8 | The sacrifice of the wicked is a hateful thing to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight. |
15:9 | The way of the wicked is hateful to Jehovah, but He loves him who pursues righteousness. |
15:10 | Discipline is grievous to him who forsakes the way, he who hates reproof shall die. |

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
