12:1 | Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is like a brute animal. |
12:2 | The good obtain grace from Jehovah, but He will condemn a man of wicked devices. |
12:3 | A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. |
12:4 | A woman of virtue is a crown to her lord, but one causing shame is like rottenness in his bones. |
12:5 | The thoughts of the righteous are right; the counsels of the wicked are deceit. |
12:6 | The words of the wicked ambush for blood, but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them. |
12:7 | Overthrow the wicked, and they are not; but the house of the righteous stands. |
12:8 | A man shall be praised according to his wisdom, but he who is of a crooked heart shall be despised. |
12:9 | He who is despised, and has a servant, is better than one honoring himself and lacking bread. |
12:10 | The righteous knows the life of his animal, but the mercies of the wicked are cruel. |

Green's Literal Translation 1993
Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
