King James Bible 2016

New Testament

15:1Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
15:2by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory that which I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain.
15:3Because, I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: how Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
15:4and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
15:5and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
15:6After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.
15:7After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
15:8Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
15:9Because, I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
15:10But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was imparted to me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
15:11Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
15:12Now if Christ is preached that He rose from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
15:13But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen.
15:14And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is also in vain.
15:15Yes, and we are found to be false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up, if in fact the dead do not rise.
15:16Because, if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen.
15:17And if Christ is not risen, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins!
15:18Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
15:19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most miserable.
15:20But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who sleep.
15:21Because, since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.
15:22Because as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive.
15:23But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming.
15:24Then comes the end, when He will have delivered the kingdom to God, even the Father, when He puts down all rule and all authority and power.
15:25Because, He must reign until He has put all enemies under His feet.
15:26The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
15:27Because "He has put all things under His feet." But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is the exception.
15:28Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
15:29Otherwise, what shall they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead?
15:30And why do we stand in danger every hour?
15:31I affirm, by the boasting which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
15:32If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, "Let us eat and drink, because tomorrow we die!"
15:33Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good morals."
15:34Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; because some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
15:35But someone will say, "How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?"
15:36Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies.
15:37And what you sow, you do not sow that body that will be, but mere grain, perhaps wheat or some other grain.
15:38But God gives it a body as it has pleased Him, and to each seed its own body.
15:39All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
15:40There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
15:41There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; because one star differs from another star in glory.
15:42So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.
15:43It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.
15:44It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
15:45And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living soul." The last Adam became a life giving spirit.
15:46However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward that which is spiritual.
15:47The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.
15:48As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.
15:49And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we will also bear the image of the Heavenly.
15:50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
15:51Behold, I show you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
15:52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. Because, the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
15:53Because, this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
15:54So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then will be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."
15:55"O Death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?"
15:56The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.
15:57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
15:58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

King James Bible 2016

Unlike most other modern versions, this Bible's text is based upon the same Hebrew Masoretic Text, and Greek Textus Receptus, of the King James Version of 1611.

In non Textus Receptus versions, the issue of having the best underlying manuscripts, is often overshadowed by the massive amount of omissions in the text. Because the KJV 2016 is not dealing with issues of omission and addition, the focus has been upon definition, and the KJV translators choices have been used as the benchmark.

One issue not often majored upon in the bible version debate is simply the way Greek words are defined. Many times, the NKJV leans upon the definition choices of modern versions as well as defaulting to Vines and Strong's definitions, which are almost always favorable to the Revised Version. In other words, one may have a correct text to translate from, but use erroneous modern version/modern dictionary definitions which change or distort the meaning of the words. Jay Green was accused of having a good TR bible but with "Alexandrian readings".

The KJV 2016 Edition rejects such erroneous modern definitions and restores the distinctness of historical KJV readings. The NKJV also tended to gravitate toward KJV marginal notes, which are in truth, rejected readings, and also toward Geneva Bible definitions, which the KJV had already cleared up.
