8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
8:2Because, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
8:3Because what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin: condemned sin in the flesh,
8:4that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
8:5Because, those who live according to the flesh mind the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
8:6Because, to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
8:7Because, the carnal mind is enmity against God; because it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can it be.
8:8So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
8:9But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
8:10And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
8:11But if the Spirit of Him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised up Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies by His Spirit who dwells in you.
8:12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
8:13Because, if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if through the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
8:14Because, as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
8:15Because, you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
8:16The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
8:17and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, providing we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
8:18Because, I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed in us.
8:19Because, the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
8:20Because, the creature was subjected to vanity, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
8:21because, the creature itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
8:22Because, we know that the entire creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
8:23And not only they, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, that is the redemption of our body.
8:24Because, we were saved by hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; because why does one still hope for what he sees?
8:25But if we hope for what we do not see, then we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
8:26Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. Because, we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
8:28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
8:29Because, whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
8:30Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
8:31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
8:32He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not with Him also freely give us all things?
8:33Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.
8:34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
8:35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
8:37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
8:38Because, I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
8:39nor height nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Unlike most other modern versions, this Bible's text is based upon the same Hebrew Masoretic Text, and Greek Textus Receptus, of the King James Version of 1611.

In non Textus Receptus versions, the issue of having the best underlying manuscripts, is often overshadowed by the massive amount of omissions in the text. Because the KJV 2016 is not dealing with issues of omission and addition, the focus has been upon definition, and the KJV translators choices have been used as the benchmark.

One issue not often majored upon in the bible version debate is simply the way Greek words are defined. Many times, the NKJV leans upon the definition choices of modern versions as well as defaulting to Vines and Strong's definitions, which are almost always favorable to the Revised Version. In other words, one may have a correct text to translate from, but use erroneous modern version/modern dictionary definitions which change or distort the meaning of the words. Jay Green was accused of having a good TR bible but with "Alexandrian readings".

The KJV 2016 Edition rejects such erroneous modern definitions and restores the distinctness of historical KJV readings. The NKJV also tended to gravitate toward KJV marginal notes, which are in truth, rejected readings, and also toward Geneva Bible definitions, which the KJV had already cleared up.
