Jay P. Green's Literal Translation 1993

105:1O give thanks to Jehovah; call on His name; make His deeds known among the peoples.
105:2Sing to Him; sing praises to Him; tell of all His wonders.
105:3Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those who seek Jehovah rejoice.
105:4Seek Jehovah and His strength; seek His face without ceasing.
105:5Remember His wonders that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments of His mouth,
105:6O seed of His servant Abraham; O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones,
105:7He is Jehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth;
105:8He has remembered His covenant forever; the word He commanded to a thousand generations;
105:9which He cut with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac;
105:10and He established it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel for a perpetual covenant;
105:11saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, the portion of your inheritance;
105:12when they were a few men of number; very few, and strangers in it.
105:13And they went about from nation to nation; from one kingdom to another people.
105:14He allowed no man to oppress them; yea, He reproved kings for their sakes;
105:15saying , Touch not My anointed; and, Do My prophets no harm.
105:16And He called a famine on the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.
105:17He sent a man before them, Joseph, being sold for a slave;
105:18they hurt his feet with chains; his soul came into iron;
105:19until the time His word came, the word of Jehovah refined him;
105:20the king, the ruler of peoples, sent and released him; even set him free;
105:21he made him lord of his house, and ruler over all he owned;
105:22to bind his leaders at his will, and to teach his elders wisdom.
105:23Israel also came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
105:24And He increased His people greatly and made them stronger than their enemies.
105:25He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
105:26He sent His servant Moses and Aaron whom He had chosen.
105:27They put things of His signs among them; yea, miracles in the land of Ham.
105:28He sent darkness and made it dark; and they did not rebel against His word.
105:29He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish.
105:30Their land swarmed with frogs in the rooms of their kings.
105:31He spoke, and fly swarms came; gnats in all their borders.
105:32He gave hail for their rain, flaming fire in their land.
105:33He struck their vines also, and their fig trees; and He broke the trees of their borders.
105:34He spoke, and locusts came; and larvae without number;
105:35and they ate up all the plants in the land; yea, ate the fruit of their ground.
105:36He also struck all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruit of all their vigor.
105:37And He led them out with silver and gold; and among their tribes, not one was stumbling.
105:38Egypt was glad when they went out, for their dread had fallen on them.
105:39He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
105:40He asked, and He brought quail; and satisfied them with the food from the heavens.
105:41He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they went in the dry places like a river.
105:42For He remembered His holy word and His servant Abraham;
105:43and He brought His people out with joy; His chosen ones with gladness.
105:44And He gave to them the lands of the nations; and they inherited the labor of the peoples;
105:45so that they might observe His statutes and keep His laws. Praise Jehovah!

Green's Literal Translation 1993

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
