Psalms - Chapter: 11

11:1[To the chiefe Musician. A Psalme of Dauid.] In the Lord put I my trust: how say yee to my soule, Flee as a bird to your mountaine?
11:2For loe, the wicked bende their bow, they make ready their arrow vpon the string: that they may priuily shoote at the vpright in heart.
11:3If the foundations bee destroyed: what can the righteous doe?
11:4The Lord is in his holy Temple, the Lords Throne is in heauen: his eyes beholde, his eye lids trie the children of men.
11:5The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loueth violence, his soule hateth.
11:6Upon the wicked hee shall raine snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
11:7For the righteous Lord loueth righteousnesse: his countenance doeth behold the vpright.

11:1To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. In the Lord put I my trust: howe say yee then to my soule, Flee to your mountaine as a birde?
11:2For loe, the wicked bende their bowe, and make readie their arrowes vpon the string, that they may secretly shoote at them, which are vpright in heart.
11:3For the foundations are cast downe: what hath the righteous done?
11:4The Lord is in his holy palace: the Lordes throne is in the heauen: his eyes wil consider: his eye lids will try the children of men.
11:5The Lord will try the righteous: but the wicked and him that loueth iniquitie, doeth his soule hate.
11:6Vpon the wicked he shall raine snares, fire, and brimstone, and stormie tempest: this is the porcion of their cup.
11:7For the righteous Lord loueth righteousnes: his countenance doeth beholde the iust.

11:1To the chaunter, A Psalme of Dauid. In the Lorde put I my trust: howe saye ye then to my soule: that she shulde fle as a byrde vpon your hyll?
11:2For lo, the vngodly bende theyr bowe, and make ready theyr arowes wyth in the bowe: that they maye pryuely shote at them, which are true of hert.
11:3For the foundacyons wilbe cast downe, and what hath the ryghteous done?
11:4The Lorde is in hys holy temple the Lordes seat is in heauen? Hys eyes consydre & hys eye lyddes tryeth the chyldren of men.
11:5The Lorde aloweth the ryghteous: but the vngodly, and hym that delyteth in wickednes, doth his soule abhorre.
11:6Upon the vngodly he shall rayne snares, fyre, and brymstone, storme & tempest: thys shalbe theyr porcyon to dryncke.
11:7For the ryghteous Lorde loueth ryghteousnes: hys countenaunce wyll beholde the thynge that is iust.
