Psalms - Chapter: 10

10:1Why standest thou afarre off, O Lord? why hidest thou thy selfe in times of trouble?
10:2The wicked in his pride doeth persecute the poore: let them be taken in the deuices that they haue imagined.
10:3For the wicked boasteth of his hearts desire, and blesseth the couetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.
10:4The wicked through the pride of his countenance will not seeke after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
10:5His wayes are alwayes grieuous, thy iudgements are farre aboue out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
10:6He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moued: for I shall neuer be in aduersitie.
10:7His mouth is full of cursing, and deceit, and fraud: vnder his tongue is mischiefe and vanitie.
10:8He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doeth he murder the innocent: his eyes are priuily set against the poore.
10:9He lieth in waite secretly as a lyon in his denne, he lieth in wait to catch the poore: he doth catch the poore when he draweth him into his net.
10:10He croucheth, and humbleth himselfe, that the poore may fall by his strong ones.
10:11Hee hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face, hee will neuer see it.
10:12Arise, O Lord, O God lift vp thine hand: forget not the humble.
10:13Wherefore doeth the wicked contemne God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
10:14Thou hast seene it, for thou beholdest mischiefe and spite to requite it with thy hand: the poore committeth himselfe vnto thee, thou art the helper of the fatherlesse.
10:15Breake thou the arme of the wicked, and the euill man: seeke out his wickednes, till thou finde none.
10:16The Lord is King for euer and euer: the heathen are perished out of his land.
10:17Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine eare to heare,
10:18To iudge the fatherlesse and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppresse.

10:1Why standest thou farre off, O Lord, and hidest thee in due time, euen in affliction?
10:2The wicked with pride doeth persecute the poore: let them be taken in the craftes that they haue imagined.
10:3For the wicked hath made boast of his owne heartes desire, and the couetous blesseth himselfe: he contemneth the Lord.
10:4The wicked is so proude that hee seeketh not for God: hee thinketh alwayes, There is no God.
10:5His wayes alway prosper: thy iudgements are hie aboue his sight: therefore defieth he all his enemies.
10:6He saith in his heart, I shall neuer be moued, nor be in danger.
10:7His mouth is full of cursing and deceite and fraude: vnder his tongue is mischiefe and iniquitie.
10:8He lieth in waite in the villages: in the secret places doeth hee murder the innocent: his eyes are bent against the poore.
10:9He lyeth in waite secretly, euen as a lyon in his denne: he lyeth in waite to spoyle the poore: he doeth spoyle the poore, when he draweth him into his net.
10:10He croucheth and boweth: therefore heaps of the poore doe fall by his might.
10:11He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten, he hideth away his face, and will neuer see.
10:12Arise, O Lord God: lift vp thine hande: forget not the poore.
10:13Wherefore doeth the wicked contemne God? he saith in his heart, Thou wilt not regard.
10:14Yet thou hast seene it: for thou beholdest mischiefe and wrong, that thou mayest take it into thine handes: the poore committeth himselfe vnto thee: for thou art the helper of the fatherlesse.
10:15Breake thou the arme of the wicked and malicious: searche his wickednes, and thou shalt finde none.
10:16The Lord is King for euer and euer: the heathen are destroyed foorth of his land.
10:17Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the poore: thou preparest their heart: thou bendest thine eare to them,
10:18To iudge the fatherlesse and poore, that earthly man cause to feare no more.

10:1Why stondest thou so farre of (O Lord) & hydest thy face in that neadefull tyme of trouble?
10:2The vngodly for his owne lust, doth persecute the poore: let them be taken in the craftye wilynesse that they haue ymagined.
10:3For the vngodly hath made boast of hys awne hertes desyre, & speaketh good of the couetous, whom God abhorreth.
10:4The vngodly is so proude that he careth not for God, nether is God in all his thoughtes.
10:5His wayes are allway greuous, thy iudgementes are farre aboue out of his syght, & therfore defyeth he all his enemyes.
10:6For he hath sayed in his hert: Tush I shall neuer be cast downe, ther shall no harme happen vnto me. His mouth is full of cursynge, and disceate and fraude vnder his tonge is vngodlynesse & vanite.
10:7He sytteth lurkinge in the theuish corners of the stretes, & priuely in his lurkynge dennes doth he murthur the innocent: his eyes are set agaynst the poore.
10:8For he lyeth waytinge secretly (euen as a lyon, lurketh he in his denne) that he maye rauish the poore.
10:9He doth rauish the poore, when he getteth him in to his nett.
10:10He falleth downe & humbleth him selfe, that the congregacyon of the poore maye fall in to the hande of his captaynes.
10:11He hath sayed in his herte: Tush, God hath forgotten, he hydeth awaye his face, and he wyll neuer se it.
10:12Aryse (O Lorde God) and lyfte vp thyne hande, forget not the poore.
10:13Wherfore shulde the wycked blaspheme God, whyle he doth saye in his herte: tush, thou God carest not for it?
10:14Surely thou hast sene it. For thou beholdest vngodlynesse and wronge. That thou mayest take the matter in to thy hande: the poore committeth hym selfe vnto the, for thou art the helper of the frendlesse.
10:15Breake thou the power of the vngodly and malycyous, take awaye hys vngodlynesse, and thou shalt fynde none.
10:16The Lorde is kynge for euer, and euer, and the Hethen are peryshed out of the lande.
10:17Lorde, thou hast hearde the desyre of the poore: thou preparest theyr hert and thyne eare herkeneth therto.
10:18To helpe the fatherlesse and poore vnto theyr right: that the man of the erthe be no more exalted agaynst them.
