King James Bible 2016

New Testament

18:1At the same time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
18:2And Jesus called a little child to Himself, and set him in the midst of them,
18:3and said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you are converted, and become as little children, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
18:4Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child, they are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
18:5And whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me."
18:6But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."
18:7Woe to the world because of offenses! Because, offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!"
18:8So if your hand or your foot offends you, cut them off and throw them away from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be thrown into everlasting fire."
18:9And if your eye offends you, pluck it out and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be thrown into hell fire."
18:10Beware that you do not despise one of these little ones, because, I say to you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of My Father who is in heaven."
18:11Because the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost."
18:12"What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that has gone astray?"
18:13And if he happens to find it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety nine that did not go astray."
18:14Likewise it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish."
18:15"Also if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother."
18:16But if he will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.'"
18:17And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to listen to the church, let him be to you as a heathen and a tax collector."
18:18"Truly, I say to you, whatever you will bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you will loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
18:19"Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them of My Father who is in heaven."
18:20Because, where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
18:21Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?"
18:22Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, until seven times, but until seventy times seven."
18:23Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants."
18:24And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents."
18:25But since he had no means to pay, his master commanded him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he owned, and that payment be made."
18:26So the servant fell down and worshiped him, saying, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will repay everything to you.'"
18:27Then the Master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt."
18:28"But the same servant went out and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him a hundred denarii: and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!'"
18:29So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will repay everything to you.'"
18:30And he would not, but went and put him into prison until he should pay the debt."
18:31So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that was done."
18:32Then his master, after he had summoned him, said to him, 'O you wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me."
18:33Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?'"
18:34And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him."
18:35"So likewise will my heavenly Father also do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother their trespasses."

King James Bible 2016

Unlike most other modern versions, this Bible's text is based upon the same Hebrew Masoretic Text, and Greek Textus Receptus, of the King James Version of 1611.

In non Textus Receptus versions, the issue of having the best underlying manuscripts, is often overshadowed by the massive amount of omissions in the text. Because the KJV 2016 is not dealing with issues of omission and addition, the focus has been upon definition, and the KJV translators choices have been used as the benchmark.

One issue not often majored upon in the bible version debate is simply the way Greek words are defined. Many times, the NKJV leans upon the definition choices of modern versions as well as defaulting to Vines and Strong's definitions, which are almost always favorable to the Revised Version. In other words, one may have a correct text to translate from, but use erroneous modern version/modern dictionary definitions which change or distort the meaning of the words. Jay Green was accused of having a good TR bible but with "Alexandrian readings".

The KJV 2016 Edition rejects such erroneous modern definitions and restores the distinctness of historical KJV readings. The NKJV also tended to gravitate toward KJV marginal notes, which are in truth, rejected readings, and also toward Geneva Bible definitions, which the KJV had already cleared up.
