Textus Receptus Bibles

Jay P. Green's Literal Translation 1993

52:1Awake! Awake! Put on your strength, Zion; put on your beautiful robes, O Jerusalem, the holy city. For never again shall uncircumcised and unclean ones come to you.
52:2Shake yourself from the dust; rise up! Sit, Jerusalem; free yourself from your neck bands, O captive daughter of Zion.
52:3For so says Jehovah: You were sold for nothing, and you will not be redeemed with silver.
52:4For so says the Lord Jehovah: My people went down to Egypt at the first, to reside there, and without cause Assyria oppressed him.
52:5So then what is to Me here, declares Jehovah? For My people is taken for nothing; his rulers howl, declares Jehovah. And My name is continually despised, every day.
52:6So My people shall know My name thus in that day; for I am He speaking. Behold Me!
52:7How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him bringing good news, making peace heard, bringing good news, proclaiming salvation; saying to Zion, Your God reigns!
52:8The voice of your watchmen, they lift the voice together, they sing aloud. For they shall see eye to eye when Jehovah brings back Zion.
52:9Break out, sing together, waste places of Jerusalem; for Jehovah comforts His people; He has redeemed Jerusalem.
52:10Jehovah has bared His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
52:11Turn! Turn! Go out from there! Touch not the unclean! Go out of her midst, purify yourselves, bearers of the vessels of Jehovah.
52:12For you shall not go out with haste, nor will you go by flight; for Jehovah is going before you, and the God of Israel gathers you.
52:13Behold, My Servant shall rule wisely; He shall be exalted and lifted up and be very high.
52:14Just as many were astonished over You, so much was the disfigurement from man, His appearance and His form from sons of mankind.
52:15so He sprinkles from many nations. At Him kings shall shut their mouths; for they will see that which was not told to them; yea, what they had not heard, they will understand.

Green's Literal Translation 1993

Green's Literal Translation (Literal Translation of the Holy Bible - LITV), is a translation of the Bible by Jay P. Green, Sr., first published in 1985. The LITV takes a literal, formal equivalence approach to translation. The Masoretic Text is used as the Hebrew basis for the Old Testament, and the Textus Receptus is used as the Greek basis for the New Testament.
