1 John - Chapter: 3

3:1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
3:2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3:3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
3:4Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
3:5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
3:6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
3:7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
3:8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
3:9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
3:10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
3:11For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
3:12Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
3:13Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
3:14We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
3:15Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
3:16Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
3:17But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
3:18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
3:19And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
3:20For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
3:21Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
3:22And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
3:23And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
3:24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

3:1Behold, what loue the Father hath giuen to vs, that we should be called the sonnes of God: for this cause this world knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him.
3:2Dearely beloued, nowe are we the sonnes of God, but yet it is not made manifest what we shall be: and we know that when he shalbe made manifest, we shalbe like him: for we shall see him as he is.
3:3And euery man that hath this hope in him, purgeth himselfe, euen as he is pure.
3:4Whosoeuer committeth sinne, transgresseth also the Law: for sinne is the transgression of the Lawe.
3:5And ye knowe that hee was made manifest, that he might take away our sinnes, and in him is no sinne.
3:6Whosoeuer abideth in him, sinneth not: whosoeuer sinneth, hath not seene him, neither hath knowen him.
3:7Litle children, let no man deceiue you: he that doeth righteousnes, is righteous, as hee is righteous.
3:8He that comitteth sinne, is of the deuil: for the deuill sinneth from the beginning: for this purpose was made manifest that Sonne of God, that he might loose the workes of the deuil.
3:9Whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: for his seede remaineth in him, neither can hee sinne, because he is borne of God.
3:10In this are the children of God knowen, and the children of the deuil: whosoeuer doeth not righteousnesse, is not of God, neither he that loueth not his brother.
3:11For this is the message, that ye heard from the beginning, that we should loue one another,
3:12Not as Cain which was of that wicked one, and slewe his brother: and wherefore slewe he him? because his owne workes were euill, and his brothers good.
3:13Marueile not, my brethren, though this world hate you.
3:14We know that we are translated from death vnto life, because we loue the brethren: he that loueth not his brother, abideth in death.
3:15Whosoeuer hateth his brother, is a manslayer: and ye know that no manslayer hath eternall life abiding in him.
3:16Hereby haue we perceiued loue, that he layde downe his life for vs: therefore we ought also to lay downe our liues for the brethren.
3:17And whosoeuer hath this worlds good, and seeth his brother haue neede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in him?
3:18My litle children, let vs not loue in worde, neither in tongue onely, but in deede and in trueth.
3:19For thereby we know that we are of the trueth, and shall before him assure our hearts.
3:20For if our heart condemne vs, God is greater then our heart, and knoweth all things.
3:21Beloued, if our heart condemne vs not, then haue we boldnes toward God.
3:22And whatsoeuer we aske we receiue of him, because we keepe his commandements, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight.
3:23This is then his commandement, That we beleeue in the Name of his Sonne Iesus Christ, and loue one another as hee gaue commandement.
3:24For hee that keepeth his commandements, dwelleth in him, and he in him: and hereby we knowe that hee abideth in vs, euen by that Spirit which he hath giuen vs.

3:1Beholde what love the father hath shewed on vs that we shuld be called the sonnes of god. For this cause the worlde knoweth you not because it knoweth not him.
3:2Derely beloved now are we ye sonnes of God and yet it dothe not appere what we shal be. But we knowe that when it shall appere we shal be lyke him. For we shall se him as he is.
3:3And every man that hath thys hope in him pourgeth him silfe even as he ys pure.
3:4Whosover committeth synne committeth vnrighteousnes also for synne is vnrighteousnes.
3:5And ye knowe that he appered to take awaye oure synnes and in him is no synne.
3:6As many as byde in him synne not: whosoever synneth hath not sene him nether hath knowen him.
3:7Babes let no man deceave you He that doeth righteousnes is righteous even as he is righteous.
3:8He that comitteth synne is of the devill: for the devyll synneth sence the begynnynge. For this purpose appered the sonne of god to lowse the workes of the devill.
3:9Whosoever is borne of god sinneth not: for his seed remayneth in him and he cannot sinne because he is borne of god.
3:10In this are the children of god knowen and the children of the devyll. Whosoever doeth not rightewesnes is not of God nether he that loveth not his brother.
3:11For this is the tydinges that ye hearde fro the begynninge that we shuld love one another:
3:12not as Cayn which was of the wicked and slewe his brother. And wherfore slewe he him? Because his awne workes were evyll and his brothers good.
3:13Marvayle not my brethren though the worlde hate you.
3:14We knowe that we are translated from deeth vnto lyfe be cause we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abydeth in deeth.
3:15Whosoever hateth his brother is a man slear. And ye knowe that no man slear hath eternall lyfe abydinge in him.
3:16Herby perceave we love: that he gave his lyfe for vs: and therfore ought we also to geve oure lyves for the brethre.
3:17Whosoever hath this worldes good and seith his brother have neade: and shutteth vp his copassion from him: how dwelleth the love of God in him?
3:18My babes let vs not love in worde nether in tonge: but with dede and in veritie:
3:19for therby we knowe that we are of the veritie and can before him quiet oure hertes.
3:20But yf oure hertes condempne vs God is gretter then oure hertes and knoweth all thinges.
3:21Beloved yf oure hertes condempne vs not then have we trust to god warde:
3:22and what soever we axe we shall receave of him: be cause we kepe his commaundementes and do those thinges which are pleasinge in his sight.
3:23And this is his comaundemet that we beleve on ye name of his sonne Iesus Christ and love one another as he gave comaundemet.
3:24And he yt kepeth his comaundemetes dwelleth in him and he in him: and therby we knowe that ther abydeth in vs of the sprete which he gave vs.
