1 John - Chapter: 4

4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
4:2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
4:3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4:4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
4:5They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
4:6We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
4:7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
4:8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
4:9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
4:10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
4:11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
4:12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
4:13Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
4:14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
4:15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
4:16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
4:17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
4:18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
4:19We love him, because he first loved us.
4:20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
4:21And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

4:1Dearely beloued, beleeue not euery spirit, but trie the spirits whether they are of God: for many false prophets are gone out into this worlde.
4:2Hereby shall ye know the Spirit of God, Euery spirit which confesseth that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.
4:3And euery spirit that confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God: but this is the spirit of Antichrist, of whome ye haue heard, how that he should come, and nowe already he is in this world.
4:4Litle children, ye are of God, and haue ouercome them: for greater is he that is in you, then he that is in this world.
4:5They are of this worlde, therefore speake they of this world, and this world heareth them.
4:6We are of God, he that knoweth God, heareth vs: he that is not of God, heareth vs not. Heereby knowe wee the spirit of trueth, and the spirit of errour.
4:7Beloued, let vs loue one another: for loue commeth of God, and euery one that loueth, is borne of God, and knoweth God.
4:8Hee that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.
4:9Herein was that loue of God made manifest amongst vs, because God sent that his onely begotten sonne into this world, that we might liue through him.
4:10Herein is that loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his Sonne to be a reconciliation for our sinnes.
4:11Beloued, if God so loued vs, we ought also to loue one another.
4:12No man hath seene God at any time. If we loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfect in vs.
4:13Hereby know we, that we dwell in him, and he in vs: because he hath giuen vs of his Spirit.
4:14And we haue seene, and doe testifie, that the Father sent that Sonne to be ye Sauiour of the world.
4:15Whosoeuer confesseth that Iesus is the Sone of God, in him dwelleth God, and he in God.
4:16And we haue knowen, and beleeued ye loue that God hath in vs. God is loue, and he that dwelleth in loue, dwelleth in God, and God in him.
4:17Herein is that loue perfect in vs, that we should haue boldnes in the day of iudgement: for as he is, euen so are we in this world.
4:18There is no feare in loue, but perfect loue casteth out feare: for feare hath painefulnesse: and he that feareth, is not perfect in loue.
4:19We loue him, because he loued vs first.
4:20If any man say, I loue God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for how can he that loueth not his brother whom he hath seene, loue God whom he hath not seene?
4:21And this commandement haue we of him, that he that loueth God, should loue his brother also.

4:1Ye beloved beleve not every sprete: but prove the spretes whether they are of God or no: for many falce Prophetes are gone out into the worlde.
4:2Herby shall ye knowe the sprete of God. Every sprete that confesseth that Iesus Christ is come in the flesshe is of God.
4:3And every sprete which cofesseth not yt Iesus Christ is come in the flesshe is not of God. And this is that sprete of Antichrist of whom ye have hearde howe that he shuld come: and even now alredy is he in the worlde.
4:4Lytell chyldre ye are of God and have overcome them: for greater is he yt is in you then he that is in the worlde.
4:5They are of the worlde and therfore speake they of the worlde and the worlde heareth them.
4:6We are of God. He yt knoweth God heareth vs: he that is not of God heareth vs not. Herby knowe we ye sprete of veritie and the sprete of erroure.
4:7Beloved let vs love one another: for love cometh of God. And every one that loveth is borne of God and knoweth God.
4:8He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is love.
4:9In this appered ye love of god to vs ward because that god sent his only begotten sonne into the worlde that we myght live thorow him.
4:10Herin is love not that we loved god but that he loved vs and sent his sonne to make agrement for oure sinnes.
4:11Beloved yf god so loved vs we ought also to love one another.
4:12No man hath sene god at enytyme. Yf we love one another god dwelleth in vs and his love is parfect in vs.
4:13Herby know we that we dwell in him and he in vs: because he hath geven vs of his sprete.
4:14And we have sene and do testifie that the father sent the sonne which is the saveour of the worlde.
4:15Whosoever confesseth that Iesus is the sonne of god in him dwelleth god and he in god.
4:16And we have knowen and beleved the love that god hath to vs. God is love and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in god and god in him.
4:17Herin is the love perfect in vs that we shuld have trust in the daye of iudgement: For as he is even so are we in this worlde.
4:18Ther is no feare in love but parfect love casteth out all feare for feare hath paynfulnes. He yt feareth is not parfect in love.
4:19We love him for he loved vs fyrst.
4:20Yf a man saye I love god and yet hate his brother he is a lyar. For how can he yt loveth not his brother whom he hath sene love god whom he hath not sene?
4:21And this commaundemet have we of him: that he which loveth God shuld love his brother also.
