1 John - Chapter: 2

>
2:1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2:2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
2:3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
2:4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
2:5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
2:6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
2:7Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
2:8Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
2:9He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
2:10He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
2:11But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
2:12I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
2:13I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
2:14I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
2:15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
2:16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
2:17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
2:18Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
2:19They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
2:20But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
2:21I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
2:22Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
2:23Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
2:24Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
2:25And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
2:26These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
2:27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
2:28And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
2:29If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

2:1My little children, these things write I vnto you, that ye sinne not: and if any man sinne, wee haue an Aduocate with the Father, Iesus Christ, the Iust.
2:2And he is the reconciliation for our sinnes: and not for ours onely, but also for the sinnes of the whole world.
2:3And hereby we are sure that we knowe him, if we keepe his commandements.
2:4Hee that saith, I knowe him, and keepeth not his commandements, is a liar, and the trueth is not in him.
2:5But hee that keepeth his worde, in him is the loue of God perfect in deede: hereby wee knowe that ye are in him.
2:6He that saith he remaineth in him, ought euen so to walke, as he hath walked.
2:7Brethren, I write no newe commandement vnto you: but an olde commandement, which ye haue had from the beginning: this olde commandement is that worde, which yee haue heard from the beginning.
2:8Againe, a new comandement I write vnto you, that which is true in him, and also in you: for the darkenes is past, and that true light now shineth.
2:9He that saith that hee is in that light, and hateth his brother, is in darkenes, vntill this time.
2:10Hee that loueth his brother, abideth in that light, and there is none occasion of euil in him.
2:11But he that hateth his brother, is in darkenesse, and walketh in darkenesse, and knoweth not whither hee goeth, because that darkenesse hath blinded his eyes.
2:12Litle children, I write vnto you, because your sinnes are forgiuen you for his Names sake.
2:13I write vnto you, fathers, because yee haue knowen him that is from the beginning. I write vnto you, yong men, because ye haue ouercome that wicked one. I write vnto you, litle children, because ye haue knowen ye Father.
2:14I haue written vnto you, fathers, because ye haue knowen him, that is from the beginning. I haue written vnto you, yong men, because ye are strong, and the worde of God abideth in you, and ye haue ouercome that wicked one.
2:15Loue not this world, neither the things that are in this world. If any man loue this world, the loue of the Father is not in him.
2:16For all that is in this world (as the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life) is not of the Father, but is of this world.
2:17And this world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that fulfilleth the will of God, abideth euer.
2:18Litle children, it is the last time, and as ye haue heard that Antichrist shall come, euen now are there many Antichrists: whereby we know that it is the last time.
2:19They went out from vs, but they were not of vs: for if they had bene of vs, they should haue continued with vs. But this cometh to passe, that it might appeare, that they are not all of vs.
2:20But ye haue an ointment from that Holy one, and know all things.
2:21I haue not written vnto you, because ye knowe not the trueth: but because ye knowe it, and that no lie is of the trueth.
2:22Who is a liar, but he that denyeth that Iesus is that Christ? the same is that Antichrist that denyeth the Father and the Sonne.
2:23Whosoeuer denyeth the Sonne, the same hath not the Father.
2:24Let therefore abide in you that same which ye haue heard from the beginning. If that which ye haue heard from the beginning, shall remaine in you, ye also shall continue in the Sonne, and in the Father.
2:25And this is the promise that he hath promised vs, euen that eternall life.
2:26These things haue I written vnto you, concerning them that deceiue you.
2:27But that anointing which ye receiued of him, dwelleth in you: and ye neede not that any man teach you: but as the same Anoynting teacheth you of all things, and it is true, and is not lying, and as it taught you, ye shall abide in him.
2:28And nowe, litle children, abide in him, that when he shall appeare, we may be bolde, and not be ashamed before him at his comming.
2:29If ye know that he is righteous, know ye that he which doeth righteously, is borne of him.

2:1My lytell children these thynges write I vnto you that ye synne not: yf eny man synne yet we have an advocate with ye father Iesus Christ which is righteous:
2:2and he it is that obteyneth grace for oure synnes: not for oure synnes only: but also for the synnes of all the worlde.
2:3And herby we are sure that we knowe him yf we kepe his comaundementes.
2:4He that sayth I knowe him and kepeth not his commaundementes is a lyar and the veritie is not in him.
2:5Whosoever kepeth his (worde) in him is the love of god parfect in dede. And therby knowe we that we are in him.
2:6He that sayth he bydeth in him ought to walke even as he walked.
2:7Brethren I write no newe comaundement vnto you: but that olde comaundemet which ye hearde from the begynnynge.
2:8The olde comaundement is the worde which ye hearde from the begynnynge. Agayne a newe comaundement I write vnto you a thynge that is true in him and also in you: for the darknes is past and the true lyght now shyneth.
2:9He that sayth how that he is in the light and yet hateth his brother is in darknes even vntyll this tyme.
2:10He that loveth his brother abydeth in the light and ther is none occasion of evyll in him.
2:11He that hateth his brother is in darknes and walketh in darknes: and cannot tell whither he goeth because that darknes hath blynded his eyes.
2:12Babes I write vnto you how that youre synnes are forgeven you for his names sake.
2:13I wryte vnto you fathers how that ye have knowen him that was from the begynnynge. I wryte vnto you yonge men how that ye have overcome the wicked. I wryte vnto you lytell children how that ye have knowne the father.
2:14I wryte vnto you fathers how that ye have knowe him that was fro the begynnynge. I wryte vnto you youge men how that ye are stronge: and the worde of God abydeth in you and ye have overcome that wicked.
2:15Se that ye love not the worlde nether the thynges that are in the worlde. Yf eny man love the worlde the love of the father is not in him.
2:16For all that is in ye worlde (as the lust of the flesshe the lust of the eyes and ye pryde of gooddes) is not of the father: but of ye worlde
2:17And the worlde vannyssheth awaye and the lust therof: but he that fulfilleth the will of god abydeth ever.
2:18Lytell children it is the last tyme and as ye have herde how that Antichrist shall come: even now are there many Antichristes come allredy. Wherby we knowe that it is the last tyme.
2:19They went oute from vs but they were not of vs. For yf they had bene of vs they wolde no dout have continued with vs. But that fortuned that yt myght appere that they were not of vs.
2:20And ye have an oyntment of ye holy gost and ye knowe all thynges.
2:21I wrote not vnto you as though ye knewe not the trueth: but as though ye knewe it and knowe also that no lye commeth of trueth.
2:22Who is a lyar: but he that denyeth that Iesus is Christ? The same is the Antichrist that denyeth the father and the sonne.
2:23Whosoever denyeth the sonne the same hath not the father.
2:24Let therfore abyde in you that same which ye hearde from the begynnynge. Yf that which ye hearde from ye begynnynge shall remayne in you ye also shall continewe in the sonne and in the father
2:25And this is the promes yt he hath promysed vs even eternall lyfe.
2:26This have I writte vnto you concernynge the yt disceave you.

2:28And nowe babes abyde in him that when he shall appere we maye be bolde and not be made a shamed of him at his commynge.
2:29Yf ye knowe that he is righteous knowe also that he which foloweth rightewesnes is borne of him.
