Philippians - Chapter: 2

>
2:1If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2:2Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
2:3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
2:4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
2:5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
2:6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
2:7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
2:8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
2:9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
2:10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
2:11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
2:12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
2:13For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
2:14Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
2:15That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
2:16Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
2:17Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
2:18For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
2:19But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
2:20For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
2:21For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
2:22But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
2:23Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
2:24But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.
2:25Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
2:26For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.
2:27For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
2:28I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
2:29Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
2:30Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

2:1If there be therfore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of loue, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any compassion and mercie,
2:2Fulfill my ioye, that ye be like minded, hauing the same loue, being of one accorde, and of one iudgement,
2:3That nothing be done through contention or vaine glory, but that in meekenesse of minde euery man esteeme other better then himselfe.
2:4Looke not euery man on his owne things, but euery man also on the things of other men.
2:5Let the same minde be in you that was euen in Christ Iesus,
2:6Who being in ye forme of God, thought it no robberie to be equall with God:
2:7But he made himself of no reputation, and tooke on him ye forme of a seruant, and was made like vnto men, and was founde in shape as a man.
2:8He humbled himselfe, and became obedient vnto the death, euen the death of the Crosse.
2:9Wherefore God hath also highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name aboue euery name,
2:10That at the Name of Iesus shoulde euery knee bowe, both of things in heauen, and things in earth, and things vnder the earth,
2:11And that euery tongue shoulde confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lord, vnto the glory of God the Father.
2:12Wherefore my beloued, as ye haue alwayes obeyed me, not as in my presence only, but now much more in mine absence, so make an end of your owne saluation with feare and trembling.
2:13For it is God which worketh in you, both the will and the deede, euen of his good pleasure.
2:14Do all things without murmuring and reasonings,
2:15That ye may be blamelesse, and pure, and the sonnes of God without rebuke in the middes of a naughtie and crooked nation, among whom yee shine as lights in the world,
2:16Holding forth the worde of life, that I may reioyce in the day of Christ, that I haue not runne in vaine, neither haue laboured in vaine.
2:17Yea, and though I bee offered vp vpon the sacrifice, and seruice of your faith, I am glad, and reioyce with you all.
2:18For the same cause also be ye glad, and reioyce with me.
2:19And I trust in the Lord Iesus, to sende Timotheus shortly vnto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I knowe your state.
2:20For I haue no man like minded, who will faithfully care for your matters.
2:21For all seeke their owne, and not that which is Iesus Christes.
2:22But yee knowe the proofe of him, that as a sonne with the father, hee hath serued with me in the Gospel.
2:23Him therefore I hope to send assoone as I knowe howe it will goe with me,
2:24And trust in the Lord, that I also my selfe shall come shortly.
2:25But I supposed it necessarie to sende my brother Epaphroditus vnto you, my companion in labour, and fellowe souldier, euen your messenger, and he that ministred vnto me such things as I wanted.
2:26For he longed after all you, and was full of heauinesse, because yee had heard that hee had beene sicke.
2:27And no doubt he was sicke, very neere vnto death: but God had mercie on him, and not on him onely, but on me also, least I should haue sorowe vpon sorowe.
2:28I sent him therefore the more diligently, that when yee shoulde see him againe, yee might reioyce, and I might be the lesse sorowfull.
2:29Receiue him therefore in the Lord with all gladnesse, and make much of such:
2:30Because that for the woorke of Christ he was neere vnto death, and regarded not his life, to fulfill that seruice which was lacking on your part towarde me.

2:1If ther be amoge you eny consolacion in Christ yf ther be eny cofortable love yf there be eny fellishippe of the sprete yf ther be eny copassion or mercy:
2:2fulfyll my ioye that ye drawe one waye havinge one love beynge of one accorde and of one mynde
2:3that nothinge be done thorow stryfe or vayne glory but that in mekenes of mynde every man esteme other better then him selfe
2:4and that no man consyder his awne but what is mete for other.
2:5Let the same mynde be in you that was in Christ Iesu:
2:6Which beynge in the shape of god and thought it not robbery to be equall with god.
2:7Neverthelesse he made him silfe of no reputacion and toke on him the shape of a servaunte and became lyke vnto men
2:8and was founde in his aparell as a man. He humbled him silfe and became obediet vnto ye deeth even the deeth of the crosse.
2:9Wherfore god hath exalted him and geve him a name above all names:
2:10that in the name of Iesus shuld every knee bowe bothe of thinges in heve and thinges in erth and thinges vnder erth
2:11and that all tonges shuld confesse that Iesus Christ is the lorde vnto the prayse of God the father.
2:12Wherfore my dearly beloved as ye have al ways obeyed not when I was present only but now moche more in myne absence even so worke out youre awne saluacio with feare and tremblynge.
2:13For it is god which worketh in you both ye will and also yt dede eve of good will
2:14Do all thynge with out murmurynge and disputynge
2:15that ye maye be fautelesse and pure and the sonnes of God with out rebuke in ye middes of a croked and a perverse nacion amonge which se that ye shyne as lightes in the worlde
2:16holdinge fast the worde of lyfe vnto my reioysynge in ye daye of Christ that I have not runne in vayne nether have labored in vayne.
2:17Yee and though I be offered vp vpon the offerynge and sacrifice of youre fayth: I reioyce and reioyce with you all.
2:18For the same cause also reioyce ye and reioyce ye with me.
2:19I trust in the lorde Iesus for to sende Timotheus shortly vnto you that I also maye be of good comforte when I knowe what case ye stonde in.
2:20For I have no ma that is so lyke mynded to me which with so pure affeccio careth for youre matters.
2:21For all other seke ytir awne and not that which is Iesus Christes
2:22Ye knowe the proffe of him howe that as a sone with the father so with me bestowed he his labour apon the gospell.
2:23Him I hope to sende assone as I knowe how it will go with me.
2:24I trust in the lorde I also my silfe shall come shortly.
2:25I supposed it necessary to sende brother Epaphroditus vnto you my companion in laboure and felowe soudier youre Apostel and my minister at my nedes.
2:26For he longed after you and was full of hevines because that ye had hearde saye that he shuld be sicke.
2:27And no doute he was sicke and that nye vnto deeth. But god had mercy on him: not on him only but on me also lest I shuld have had sorowe apon sorowe.
2:28I sent him therfore the diligentliar that when ye shuld se him ye myght reioyce agayne and I myght be the lesse sorowfull.
2:29Receave him therfore in the lorde with all gladnes and make moche of soche:
2:30because that for ye worke of Christ he went so farre that he was nye vnto deeth and regarded not his lyfe to fulfill that service which was lackynge on youre parte towarde me.
