1 Corinthians - Chapter: 8

8:1Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
8:2And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
8:3But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
8:4As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
8:5For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
8:6But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
8:7Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
8:8But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
8:9But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
8:10For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
8:11And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
8:12But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.
8:13Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

8:1And as touching things sacrificed vnto idols, wee knowe that wee all haue knowledge: knowledge puffeth vp, but loue edifieth.
8:2Nowe, if any man thinke that hee knoweth any thing, hee knoweth nothing yet as hee ought to knowe.
8:3But if any man loue God, the same is knowen of him.
8:4Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed vnto idoles, we knowe that an idole is nothing in the worlde, and that there is none other God but one.
8:5For though there bee that are called gods, whether in heauen, or in earth (as there be many gods, and many lords)
8:6Yet vnto vs there is but one God, which is that Father, of whome are all things, and we in him: and one Lord Iesus Christ, by whome are all things, and we by him.
8:7But euery man hath not that knowledge: for many hauing conscience of the idole, vntill this houre, eate as a thing sacrificed vnto the idole, and so their conscience being weake, is defiled.
8:8But meate maketh not vs acceptable to God, for neither if we eate, haue we the more: neither if we eate not, haue we the lesse.
8:9But take heede lest by any meanes this power of yours be an occasion of falling, to them that are weake.
8:10For if any man see thee which hast knowledge, sit at table in the idoles temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weake, be boldened to eate those things which are sacrificed to idoles?
8:11And through thy knowledge shall the weake brother perish, for whome Christ died.
8:12Nowe when ye sinne so against the brethren, and wound their weake conscience, ye sinne against Christ.
8:13Wherefore if meate offende my brother, I wil eate no flesh while the world standeth, that I may not offend my brother.

8:1To speake of thinges dedicate vnto ydols we are sure that we all have knowledge. knowledge maketh a man swell: bnt love edifieth.
8:2If eny man thinke that he knoweth eny thinge he knoweth nothynge yet as he ought to knowe.
8:3But yf eny man love god the same is knowen of him.
8:4To speake of meate dedicat vnto ydols we are sure that ther is none ydoll in the worlde and that ther is none other god but one.
8:5And though ther be yt are called goddes whether in heven other in erth (as ther be goddes many and lordes many)
8:6yet vnto vs is there but one god which is the father of whom are all thinges and we in him: and one lorde Iesus Christ by whom are all thinges and we by him.
8:7But every man hath not knowledge. For some suppose that ther is an ydoll vntyll this houre and eate as of a thinge offered vnto ye ydole and so their consciences beynge yet weake are defyled.
8:8Meate maketh vs not acceptable to god. Nether yf we eate are we ye better. Nether yf we eate not are we the worsse.
8:9But take hede that youre libertie cause not ye weake to faule.
8:10For yf some man se ye which hast knowledge sit at meate in the ydoles teple shall not the conscience of hym which is weake be boldened to eate those thinges which are offered vnto ye ydole?
8:11And so thorow thy knowledge shall ye weake brother perisshe for whom christ dyed.
8:12Whe ye synne so agaynst the brethren and wounde their weake consciences ye synne agaynst Christ.
8:13Wherfore yf meate hurt my brother I will eate no flesshe whill the worlde stondeth because I will not hurte my brother.
