Ephesians - Chapter: 5

>
5:1Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
5:2And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
5:3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
5:4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5:5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
5:6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
5:7Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
5:8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
5:9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
5:10Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
5:11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
5:12For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
5:13But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
5:14Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
5:15See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
5:16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
5:17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
5:18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
5:19Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
5:20Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
5:21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
5:22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
5:23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
5:24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
5:25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
5:26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
5:27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
5:28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
5:29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
5:30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
5:31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
5:32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
5:33Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

5:1Bee yee therefore followers of God, as deare children,
5:2And walke in loue, euen as Christ hath loued vs, and hath giuen himselfe for vs, to be an offering and a sacrifice of a sweete smellling sauour to God.
5:3But fornication, and all vncleannesse, or couetousnesse, let it not be once named among you, as it becommeth Saintes,
5:4Neither filthinesse, neither foolish talking, neither iesting, which are things not comely, but rather giuing of thankes.
5:5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, neither vncleane person, nor couetous person, which is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdome of Christ, and of God.
5:6Let no man deceiue you with vaine wordes: for, for such thinges commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of disobedience.
5:7Be not therefore companions with them.
5:8For ye were once darkenesse, but are nowe light in the Lord: walke as children of light,
5:9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in al goodnes, and righteousnes, and trueth)
5:10Approuing that which is pleasing to the Lord.
5:11And haue no fellowship with ye vnfruitfull works of darknes, but euen reproue them rather.
5:12For it is shame euen to speake of the things which are done of them in secret.
5:13But all thinges when they are reproued of the light, are manifest: for it is light that maketh all things manifest.
5:14Wherefore hee sayeth, Awake thou that sleepest, and stande vp from the deade, and Christ shall giue thee light.
5:15Take heede therefore that yee walke circumspectly, not as fooles, but as wise,
5:16Redeeming ye season: for ye daies are euill.
5:17Wherefore, be ye not vnwise, but vnderstand what the will of the Lord is.
5:18And be not drunke with wine, wherein is excesse: but be fulfilled with the Spirit,
5:19Speaking vnto your selues in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing, and making melodie to the Lord in your hearts,
5:20Giuing thankes alwaies for all thinges vnto God euen the Father, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ,
5:21Submitting your selues one to another in the feare of God.
5:22Wiues, submit your selues vnto your husbands, as vnto the Lord.
5:23For the husband is the wiues head, euen as Christ is the head of the Church, and the same is the sauiour of his body.
5:24Therfore as the Church is in subiection to Christ, euen so let the wiues be to their husbands in euery thing.
5:25Husbands, loue your wiues, euen as Christ loued the Church, and gaue himselfe for it,
5:26That hee might sanctifie it, and clense it by the washing of water through the worde,
5:27That hee might make it vnto him selfe a glorious Church, not hauing spot or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it shoulde bee holy and without blame.
5:28So ought men to loue their wiues, as their owne bodies: he that loueth his wife, loueth him selfe.
5:29For no man euer yet hated his owne flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, euen as the Lord doeth the Church.
5:30For we are members of his bodie, of his flesh, and of his bones.
5:31For this cause shall a man leaue father and mother, and shall cleaue to his wife, and they twaine shalbe one flesh.
5:32This is a great secrete, but I speake concerning Christ, and concerning the Church.
5:33Therefore euery one of you, doe ye so: let euery one loue his wife, euen as himselfe, and let the wife see that shee feare her husband.

5:1Be ye folowers of god as dere children
5:2and walke in love even as Christ loved vs and gave him silfe for vs an offerynge and a sacrifyce of a swete saver to god.
5:3So that fornicacion and all vnclennes or coveteousnes be not once named amonge you as it be commeth saynctes:
5:4nether filthynes nether folishe talkyng nether gestinge which are not comly: but rather gevynge of thankes
5:5For this ye knowe yt no whormonger other vnclene person or coveteous person which is the worshipper of ymages hath eny inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christ and of God.
5:6Let no ma deceave you with vayne wordes. For thorow soche thinges cometh the wrath of God vpon the chyldre of vnbelefe.
5:7Be not therfore companions with them.
5:8Ye were once dercknes but are now light in the Lorde. Walke as chyldren of light.
5:9For the frute of the sprete is in all goodnes rightewesnes and trueth.
5:10Accept that which is pleasinge to the Lorde:
5:11and have no fellishippe with the vnfrutfull workes of dercknes: but rather rebuke them.
5:12For it is shame even to name those thinges which are done of them in secrete:
5:13but all thinges when they are rebuked of the light are manifest. For whatsoever is manifest that same is light.
5:14Wherfore he sayth: awake thou that slepest and stond vp from deeth and Christ shall geve the light.
5:15Take hede therfore that ye walke circuspectly: not as foles: but as wyse
5:16redemynge the tyme: for ye dayes are evyll.
5:17Wherfore be ye not vnwyse but vnderstonde what the will of the Lorde is
5:18and be not dronke with wyne wherin is excesse: but be fulfilled with the sprete
5:19speakynge vnto youre selves in psalmes and ymnes and spretuall songes synginge and makinge melodie to ye Lorde in youre hertes
5:20gevinge thankes all wayes for all thinges vnto God the father in the name of oure Lorde Iesu Christ:
5:21submittinge youre selves one to another in the feare of God.
5:22Wemen submit youre selves vnto youre awne husbandes as vnto the Lorde.
5:23For the husbande is the wyves heed even as Christ is the heed of the congregacion and the same is the saveoure of the body.
5:24Therfore as the cogregacion is in subieccion to Christ lykwyse let the wyves be in subieccion to their husbandes in all thinges.
5:25Husbandes love youre wyves even as Christ loved the congregacion and gave him silfe for it
5:26to sanctifie it and clensed it in the fountayne of water thorow the worde
5:27to make it vnto him selfe a glorious congregacion with oute spot or wrynckle or eny soche thinge: but that it shuld be holy and with out blame.
5:28So ought men to love their wyves as their awne bodyes. He that loveth his wyfe loveth him sylfe.
5:29For no ma ever yet hated his awne flesshe: but norissheth and cherisseth it even as the lorde doth the congregacion.
5:30For we are members of his body of his flesshe and of his bones.
5:31For this cause shall a man leave father and mother and shall cotinue with his wyfe and two shalbe made one flesshe.
5:32This is a great secrete but I speake bitwene Christ and the cogregacion.
5:33Neverthelesse do ye so that every one of you love his wyfe truely even as him silfe. And let ye wyfe se that she feare her husbade.
