Romans - Chapter: 7

>
7:1Britheren, whethir ye knowun not; for Y speke to men `that knowen the lawe; for the lawe hath lordschip in a man, as long tyme as it lyueth?
7:2For that womman that is vndur an hosebonde, is boundun to the lawe, while the hosebonde lyueth; but if hir hosebonde is deed, sche is delyuered fro the lawe of the hosebonde.
7:3Therfor sche schal be clepid auoutresse, if sche be with another man, while the hosebonde lyueth; but if hir hosebonde is deed, sche is delyuered fro the lawe of the hosebonde, that sche be not auoutresse, if sche be with another man.
7:4And so, my britheren, ye ben maad deed to the lawe bi the bodi of Crist, that ye ben of another, that roos ayen fro deth, that ye bere fruyt to God.
7:5For whanne we weren in fleisch, passiouns of synnes, that weren bi the lawe, wrouyten in oure membris, to bere fruyt to deth.
7:6But now we ben vnboundun fro the lawe of deth, in which we weren holdun, so that we seruen in newnesse of spirit, and not in eldnesse of lettre.
7:7What therfor schulen we seie? The lawe is synne? God forbede. But Y knew not synne, but bi lawe; for Y wiste not that coueitynge was synne, but for the lawe seide, Thou schalt not coueyte.
7:8And thoruy occasioun takun, synne bi the maundement hath wrouyt in me al coueytise; for withouten the lawe, synne was deed.
7:9And Y lyuede withouten the lawe sumtyme; but whanne the comaundement was comun, synne lyuede ayen.
7:10But Y was deed, and this comaundement that was to lijf, was foundun to me, to be to deth.
7:11For synne, thorouy occasioun takun bi the comaundement, disceyuede me, and bi that it slow me.
7:12Therfor the lawe is hooli, and the comaundement is hooli, and iust, and good.
7:13Is thanne that thing that is good, maad deth to me? God forbede. But synne, that it seme synne, thorouy good thing wrouyte deth to me, that me synne ouer maner thorouy the comaundement.
7:14And we witen, that the lawe is spiritual; but Y am fleischli, seld vndur synne.
7:15For Y vndurstonde not that that Y worche; for Y do not the good thing that Y wole, but Y do thilke yuel thing that Y hate.
7:16And if Y do that thing that Y wole not, Y consente to the lawe, that it is good.
7:17But now Y worche not it now, but the synne that dwellith in me.
7:18But and Y woot, that in me, that is, in my fleisch, dwellith no good; for wille lieth to me, but Y fynde not to performe good thing.
7:19For Y do not thilke good thing that Y wole, but Y do thilke yuel thing that Y wole not.
7:20And if Y do that yuel thing that Y wole not, Y worche not it, but the synne that dwellith in me.
7:21Therfor Y fynde the lawe to me willynge to do good thing, for yuel thing lieth to me.
7:22For Y delite togidere to the lawe of God, aftir the ynnere man. But Y se another lawe in my membris,
7:23ayenfiytynge the lawe of my soule, and makynge me caitif in the lawe of synne, that is in my membris.
7:24Y am an vnceli man; who schal delyuer me fro the bodi of this synne?
7:25The grace of God, bi Jhesu Crist oure Lord. Therfor Y my silf bi the soule serue to the lawe of God; but bi fleisch to the lawe of synne.

7:1Remember ye not brethren (I speake to them yt know the lawe) how that the lawe hath power over a man as longe as it endureth?
7:2For the woman which is in subieccion to a man is bounde by the lawe to the man as longe as he liveth. Yf the man be deed she is lowsed from the lawe of the man.
7:3So then yf whill the man liveth she couple her selfe with another man she shalbe counted a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed she is fre fro the lawe: so that she is no wedlocke breaker though she couple her selfe with another man.
7:4Even so ye my brethren are deed concerninge the lawe by the body of Christ yt ye shuld be coupled to another (I meane to him that is rysen agayne fro deeth) that we shuld bringe forth frute vnto God.
7:5For when we were in the flesshe the lustes of synne which were stered vppe by ye lawe raygned in oure membres to bringe forth frute vnto deeth.
7:6But now are we delivered fro the lawe and deed fro that whervnto we werein bondage that we shuld serve in a newe conversacion of ye sprete and not in ye olde conversacion of the letter.
7:7What shall we saye then? is ye lawe synne? God forbid: but I knewe not what synne meant but by the lawe. For I had not knowne what lust had meant excepte the lawe had sayde thou shalt not lust.
7:8But synne toke an occasion by the meanes of the commaundement and wrought in me all manner of concupiscece. For with out the lawe synne was deed.
7:9I once lived with out lawe. But when the commaundement came synne revyved and I was deed.
7:10And the very same comaundement which was ordeyned vnto lyfe was founde to be vnto me an occasion of deeth.
7:11For synne toke occasion by the meanes of the comaundement and so disceaved me and by the selfe commaundement slewe we.
7:12Wherfore the lawe is holy and the commaundement holy iust and good.
7:13Was that then which is good made deeth vnto me? God forbyd. Naye synne was deeth vnto me that it myght appere how that synne by the meanes of that which is good had wrought deeth in me: that synne which is vnder the commandemet myght be out of measure synfull.
7:14For we knowe that the lawe is spirituall: but I am carnall solde vnder synne
7:15because I wote not what I doo. For what I wold that do I not: but what I hate that do I.
7:16Yf I do now that which I wolde not I graute to the lawe that it is good.
7:17So then nowe it is not I that do it but synne that dwelleth in me.
7:18For I knowe that in me (that is to saye in my flesshe) dwelleth no good thinge. To will is present with me: but I fynde no meanes to performe that which is good.
7:19For I doo not yt good thinge which I wold: but that evill do I which I wolde not.
7:20Finally yf I do that I wolde not then is it not I that doo it but synne that dwelleth in me doeth it.
7:21I fynde then by the lawe that when I wolde do good evyll is present with me.
7:22I delite in the lawe of God concerninge the inner man.
7:23But I se another lawe in my membres rebellinge agaynst the lawe of my mynde and subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne which is in my membres.
7:24O wretched man yt I am: who shall delyver me fro this body of deeth?
7:25I thanke God thorow Iesus Christ oure Lorde. So then I my silfe in my mynde serve the lawe of God and in my flesshe the lawe of synne.

7:1Knowe ye not brethren (for I speake vnto them that knowe the lawe) how that ye lawe hath power vpon a man as longe as he lyueth?
7:2For the woman yt is in subieccion to the man, is bounde vnto the lawe whyle the man lyueth: but yf the man dye, then is she lowsed from the lawe that concerneth the man.
7:3Yf she be now with another man, whyle the man lyueth, she shal be called a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed, then is she fre from the lawe, so that she is no wedlocke breaker, yf she be with another man.
7:4Euen so my brethren, ye also are deed vnto the lawe by the body of Christ, that ye shulde be with another (namely wt him which is raysed vp from the deed) that we shulde brynge forth frute vnto God.
7:5For whan we were in the flesh, the synfull lustes (which were stered vp by the lawe) were mightie in oure membres to brynge forth frute vnto death.
7:6But now are we lowsed from the lawe, and deed vnto it, that helde vs captyue, so that we shulde serue in a new conuersacion of the sprete, and not in the olde conuersacion of the letter.
7:7What shal we saye then? Is the lawe synne? God forbyd: Neuertheles I knewe not synne, but by ye lawe. For I had knowne nothinge of lust, yf the lawe had not sayde: Thou shalt not lust.
7:8But then toke synne occasion at the commaundement, and stered vp in me all maner of lust. For without the lawe synne was deed.
7:9As for me, I lyued some tyme without lawe. Howbeit whan the commaundement came, synne reuyued, but I was deed.
7:10And the very same commaundement that was geuen me vnto life, was founde to be vnto me on occasion of death.
7:11For synne toke occasion at the comaundement, and disceaued me, and slewe me by the same commaundement.
7:12The lawe in dede is holy, and the commaundement holy, iust and good.
7:13Is that then which is good, become death vnto me? God forbyd. But synne, that it mighte appeare how yt it is synne, hath wroughte me death thorow good: that synne mighte be out of measure synfull by the commaundement.
7:14For we knowe, that the lawe is spirituall, but I am carnall, solde vnder synne:
7:15because I knowe not what I do. For I do not yt I will, but what I hate, yt do I.
7:16Yf I do now that which I wil not, the graunte I, that the lawe is good.
7:17So then it is not I that do it, but synne that dwelleth in me:
7:18for I knowe that in me (yt is, in my flesh) there dwelleth no good thinge. To wyll is present wt me, but to perfourme yt which is good,
7:19I fynde not. For ye good that I wyll, do I not: but the euell which I wil not, that do I.
7:20Yf I do now that I wil not, then is it not I that do it, but synne that dwelleth in me.
7:21Thus fynde I now by the lawe, yt whan I wyl do good, euell is present with me.
7:22For I delite in the lawe of God after the inwarde man:
7:23but I se another lawe in my membres, which stryueth agaynst ye lawe of my mynde, and taketh me presoner in ye lawe of synne, which is in my membres.
7:24O wretched man that I am, who shal delyuer me from the body of this death?
7:25I thanke God thorow Iesus Christ oure LORDE. So then wt the mynde I serue ye lawe of God, but with the flesh the lawe of synne.
