Matthew - Chapter: 24
24:1 | And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. |
24:2 | And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. |
24:3 | And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? |
24:4 | And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. |
24:5 | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. |
24:6 | And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. |
24:7 | For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. |
24:8 | All these are the beginning of sorrows. |
24:9 | Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. |
24:10 | And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. |
24:11 | And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. |
24:12 | And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. |
24:13 | But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
24:14 | And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. |
24:15 | When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) |
24:16 | Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: |
24:17 | Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: |
24:18 | Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. |
24:19 | And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! |
24:20 | But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: |
24:21 | For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. |
24:22 | And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. |
24:23 | Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. |
24:24 | For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. |
24:25 | Behold, I have told you before. |
24:26 | Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. |
24:27 | For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. |
24:28 | For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. |
24:29 | Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: |
24:30 | And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. |
24:31 | And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. |
24:32 | Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: |
24:33 | So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. |
24:34 | Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. |
24:35 | Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. |
24:36 | But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. |
24:37 | But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. |
24:38 | For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, |
24:39 | And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. |
24:40 | Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. |
24:41 | Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. |
24:42 | Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. |
24:43 | But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. |
24:44 | Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. |
24:45 | Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? |
24:46 | Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. |
24:47 | Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. |
24:48 | But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; |
24:49 | And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; |
24:50 | The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, |
24:51 | And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. |
24:1 | And Iesus went out, and departed from the Temple, and his disciples came to him, to shewe him the building of the Temple. |
24:2 | And Iesus sayd vnto them, See ye not all these things? Verely I say vnto you, there shall not be here left a stone vpon a stone, that shall not be cast downe. |
24:3 | And as he sate vpon the mount of Oliues, his disciples came vnto him apart, saying, Tell vs when these things shall be, and what signe shalbe of thy comming, and of the ende of the world. |
24:4 | And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Take heede that no man deceiue you. |
24:5 | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceiue many. |
24:6 | And ye shall heare of warres, and rumours of warres: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to passe, but the end is not yet. |
24:7 | For nation shall rise against nation, and realme against realme, and there shalbe famine, and pestilence, and earthquakes in diuers places. |
24:8 | All these are but ye beginning of sorowes. |
24:9 | Then shall they deliuer you vp to be afflicted, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated of all nations for my Names sake. |
24:10 | And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. |
24:11 | And many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceiue many. |
24:12 | And because iniquitie shalbe increased, the loue of many shalbe colde. |
24:13 | But he that endureth to the ende, he shalbe saued. |
24:14 | And this Gospel of the kingdome shalbe preached through the whole world for a witnes vnto all nations, and then shall the end come. |
24:15 | When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, set in the holy place (let him that readeth consider it.) |
24:16 | Then let them which be in Iudea, flee into the mountaines. |
24:17 | Let him which is on the house top, not come downe to fetch any thing out of his house. |
24:18 | And he that is in the fielde, let not him returne backe to fetch his clothes. |
24:19 | And woe shalbe to them that are with childe, and to them that giue sucke in those dayes. |
24:20 | But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day. |
24:21 | For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the worlde to this time, nor shalbe. |
24:22 | And except those dayes should be shortened, there should no flesh be saued: but for the elects sake those dayes shalbe shortened. |
24:23 | Then if any shall say vnto you, Loe, here is Christ, or there, beleeue it not. |
24:24 | For there shall arise false Christes, and false prophets, and shall shewe great signes and wonders, so that if it were possible, they should deceiue the very elect. |
24:25 | Beholde, I haue tolde you before. |
24:26 | Wherefore if they shall say vnto you, Beholde, he is in the desert, goe not forth: Beholde, he is in the secret places, beleeue it not. |
24:27 | For as the lightning commeth out of the East, and is seene into the West, so shall also the comming of the Sonne of man be. |
24:28 | For wheresoeuer a dead carkeis is, thither will the Egles be gathered together. |
24:29 | And immediatly after ye tribulations of those dayes, shall the sunne be darkened, and the moone shall not giue her light, and the starres shall fal from heauen, and ye powers of heaue shalbe shake. |
24:30 | And then shall appeare the signe of the Sonne of man in heauen: and then shall all the kinreds of the earth mourne, and they shall see the Sonne of man come in the cloudes of heauen with power and great glorie. |
24:31 | And he shall send his Angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect, from the foure windes, and from the one ende of the heauens vnto the other. |
24:32 | Now learne the parable of the figge tree: when her bough is yet tender, and it putteth foorth leaues, ye knowe that sommer is neere. |
24:33 | So likewise ye, when ye see all these things, know that the kingdom of God is neere, eue at ye doores. |
24:34 | Verely I say vnto you, this generation shall not passe, till all these things be done. |
24:35 | Heauen and earth shall passe away: but my wordes shall not passe away. |
24:36 | But of that day and houre knoweth no man, no not the Angels of heauen, but my father only. |
24:37 | But as the dayes of Noe were, so likewise shall the comming of the Sonne of man be. |
24:38 | For as in the dayes before the flood, they did eate and drinke, marrie, and giue in mariage, vnto the day that Noe entred into the Arke, |
24:39 | And knewe nothing, till the flood came, and tooke them all away, so shall also the comming of the Sonne of man be. |
24:40 | Then two shall be in the fieldes, the one shalbe receiued, and the other shalbe refused. |
24:41 | Two women shalbe grinding at ye mill: the one shalbe receiued, and the other shalbe refused. |
24:42 | Watch therefore: for ye knowe not what houre your master will come. |
24:43 | Of this be sure, that if the good man of the house knewe at what watch the thiefe would come, he woulde surely watch, and not suffer his house to be digged through. |
24:44 | Therefore be ye also ready: for in the houre that ye thinke not, will the Sonne of man come. |
24:45 | Who then is a faithfull seruaunt and wise, whom his master hath made ruler ouer his household, to giue them meate in season? |
24:46 | Blessed is that seruant, whom his master when he commeth, shall finde so doing. |
24:47 | Verely I say vnto you, he shall make him ruler ouer all his goods. |
24:48 | But if that euil seruant shall say in his heart, My master doth deferre his comming, |
24:49 | And begin to smite his fellowes, and to eate, and to drinke with the drunken, |
24:50 | That seruaunts master will come in a day, when he looketh not for him, and in an houre that he is not ware of, |
24:51 | And will cut him off, and giue him his portion with hypocrites: there shalbe weeping, and gnashing of teeth. |
24:1 | And Iesus went out and departed fro the teple: and his disciples came to hym for to shewe him the byldinge of the teple. |
24:2 | Iesus sayde vnto the: se ye not all these thinges? Verely I saye vnto you: ther shall not be here lefte one stone vpon another that shall not be cast doune. |
24:3 | And as he sat vpon the mout Olivete his disciples came vnto hym secretely sayinge. Tell vs when these thinges shalbe? And what signe shalbe of thy comynge and of the ende of the worlde? |
24:4 | And Iesus answered and sayde vnto them: take hede that no ma deceave you. |
24:5 | For many shall come in my name sayinge: I am Christ and shall deceave many. |
24:6 | Ye shall heare of warres and of the fame of warres: but se yt ye be not troubled. For all these thinges must come to passe but the ende is not yet. |
24:7 | For nacio shall ryse ageynste nacio and realme ageynste realme: and ther shalbe pestilence honger and erthquakes in all quarters. |
24:8 | All these are the beginninge of sorowes. |
24:9 | Then shall they put you to trouble and shall kyll you: and ye shalbe hated of all nacions for my names sake. |
24:10 | And then shall many be offended and shall betraye one another and shall hate one the other. |
24:11 | And many falce Prophetes shall aryse and shall deceave many. |
24:12 | And because iniquite shall have the vpper hande the love of many shall abate. |
24:13 | But he that endureth to the ende the same shalbe safe. |
24:14 | And this gladtidingees of the kyngdome shalbe preached in all the worlde for a witnes vnto all nacions: and then shall the ende come. |
24:15 | When ye therfore shall se ye abhominacio that betokeneth desolacion spoken of by Daniell the Prophet stonde in ye holy place: let him that redeth it vnderstonde it. |
24:16 | Then let them which be in Iury flye into the moutaynes. |
24:17 | And let him which is on ye housse toppe not come downe to fet eny thinge out of his housse. |
24:18 | Nether let him which is in ye felde returne backe to fetche his clothes. |
24:19 | Wo be in those dayes to the that are wt chylde and to the yt geve sucke. |
24:20 | But praye yt youre flight be not in ye winter nether on ye saboth daye. |
24:21 | For then shalbe greate tribulacio suche as was not fro the beginninge of the worlde to this tyme ner shalbe. |
24:22 | Ye and except those dayes shuld be shortened there shuld no fleshe be saved: but for ye chosens sake those dayes shalbe shortened. |
24:23 | Then yf eny ma shall saye vnto you: lo here is Christ or there is Christ: beleve it not. |
24:24 | For there shall arise false christes and false prophete and shall do great myracles and wondres. In so moche yt if it were possible ye verie electe shuld be deceaved. |
24:25 | Take hede I have tolde you before. |
24:26 | Wherfore if they shall saye vnto you: beholde he is in ye desert go not forth: beholde he is in ye secret places beleve not. |
24:27 | For as ye lightninge cometh out of ye eest and shyneth vnto the weest: so shall the comynge of the sonne of ma be. |
24:28 | For wheresoever a deed karkas is eve thyther will the egles resorte. |
24:29 | Immediatly after the tribulacios of those dayes shall the sunne be derkened: and ye mone shall not geve hir light and the starre shall fall from heve and the powers of heve shall move. |
24:30 | And then shall appere the sygne of the sonne of man in heven. And then shall all the kynreddes of the erth morne and they shall se the sonne of man come in the cloudes of heven with power and greate glorie. |
24:31 | And he shall sende his angeles with the greate voyce of a trope and they shall gader to gether his chosen from the fower wyndes and from the one ende of the worlde to the other. |
24:32 | Learne, a similitude of the fygge tree: when his braunches are yet tender and his leves sproge ye knowe that sommer is nye. |
24:33 | So lyke wyse ye when ye see all these thynges be ye sure that it is neare even at the dores. |
24:34 | Verely I saye vnto you that this generacion shall not passe tyll all these be fulfilled. |
24:35 | Heven and erth shall perisshe: but my wordes shall abyde. |
24:36 | But of that daye and houre knowith no man no not ye angels of heve but my father only. |
24:37 | As the tyme of Noe was so lyke wyse shall the cominge of ye sonne of man be. |
24:38 | For as in ye dayes before ye floud: they dyd eate and drynke mary and were maried eve vnto ye daye that Noe entred into the shyppe |
24:39 | and knewe of nothynge tyll the floude came and toke them all awaye. So shall also the commynge of the sonne of man be. |
24:40 | Then two shalbe in the feldes the one shalbe receaved and the other shalbe refused |
24:41 | two shalbe gryndinge at ye myll: ye oue shalbe receaved and ye other shalbe refused. |
24:42 | Wake therfore because ye knowe not what houre youre master wyll come. |
24:43 | Of this be sure that yf the good man of the housse knewe what houre the thefe wolde come: he wolde suerly watche and not suffre his housse to be broke vppe. |
24:44 | Therfore be ye also redy for in ye houre ye thinke he wolde not: wyll the sonne of ma come. |
24:45 | If there be any faithfull servaut and wyse whome his master hath made ruler over his housholde to geve the meate in season covenient: |
24:46 | happy is that servaunt whom his master (when he cometh) shall finde so doinge. |
24:47 | Verely I saye vnto you he shall make him ruler over all his goodes. |
24:48 | But and yf that evill servaut shall saye in his herte my master wyll defer his comynge |
24:49 | and beginne to smyte his felowes ye and to eate and to drinke with the dronke: |
24:50 | that servauntes master wyll come in adaye when he loketh not for him and in an houre yt he is not ware of |
24:51 | and wyll devyde him and geve him his rewarde with ypocrites. There shalbe wepinge and gnasshinge of tethe. |
