| 35:1 | And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying: |
| 35:2 | `Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, |
| 35:3 | and thou hast said to it: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I `am' against thee, O mount Seir, And have stretched out My hand against thee, And made thee a desolation and an astonishment. |
| 35:4 | Thy cities a waste I make, and thou art a desolation, And thou hast known that I `am' Jehovah. |
| 35:5 | Because of thy having an enmity age-during, And thou dost saw the sons of Israel, By the hands of the sword, In the time of their calamity, In the time of the iniquity of the end: |
| 35:6 | Therefore, I live -- an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Surely for blood I do appoint thee, And blood doth pursue thee, If blood thou hast not hated, Blood also doth pursue thee. |
| 35:7 | And I have given mount Seir for a desolation and an astonishment, And have cut off from it him who is passing over and him who is returning, |
| 35:8 | And filled his mountains with his wounded, Thy hills, and thy valleys, and all thy streams, The pierced of the sword fall into them. |
| 35:9 | Desolations age-during I make thee, And thy cities do not return, And ye have known that I `am' Jehovah. |
| 35:10 | Because of thy saying: The two nations and the two lands are mine, and we have possessed it, And Jehovah hath been there; |
| 35:11 | Therefore, I live -- an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, And I have done according to thine anger, And according to thine envy, With which thou hast wrought, Because of thy hatred against them, And I have been known among them when I judge thee. |
| 35:12 | And thou hast known that I -- Jehovah, I have heard all thy despisings that thou hast spoken Against mountains of Israel, saying: A desolation, to us they were given for food. |
| 35:13 | And ye magnify yourselves against Me with your mouth, And have made abundant against Me your words, I -- I have heard. |
| 35:14 | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: According to the rejoicing of the whole land, A desolation I make of thee. |
| 35:15 | According to thy joy at the inheritance of the house of Israel because of desolation, So I do to thee -- a desolation thou art, O mount Seir, and all Edom -- all of it, And they have known that I `am' Jehovah! |
| 35:1 | Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
| 35:2 | Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, |
| 35:3 | And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate. |
| 35:4 | I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. |
| 35:5 | Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: |
| 35:6 | Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. |
| 35:7 | Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. |
| 35:8 | And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword. |
| 35:9 | I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 35:10 | Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there: |
| 35:11 | Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. |
| 35:12 | And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume. |
| 35:13 | Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them. |
| 35:14 | Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate. |
| 35:15 | As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 35:1 | And the word of Jehovah was to me, saying, |
| 35:2 | Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it. |
| 35:3 | And say to it, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch My hand against you, and I will make you a ruin and a waste. |
| 35:4 | I will lay your cities waste, and you shall be a ruin. And they shall know that I am Jehovah. |
| 35:5 | Because there was to you never-ending enmity, and you poured out the sons of Israel to the hands of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end. |
| 35:6 | Therefore, As I live, declares the Lord Jehovah, surely for blood I appoint you, and blood shall pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, so blood shall pursue you. |
| 35:7 | And I will make Mount Seir a ruin and a waste, and cut off from it the one passing through, and the one returning. |
| 35:8 | And I will fill his mountains with his slain. In your hills and in your valleys, and in your every torrent, the slain by the sword shall fall in them. |
| 35:9 | I will make you ruins forever, and your cities shall not be inhabited. And you shall know that I am Jehovah. |
| 35:10 | Because you have said, these two nations and these two lands will be mine, and we shall possess it (yet Jehovah was there), |
| 35:11 | so, As I live, declares the Lord Jehovah, I will act by your anger and by envy which you have done out of your hatred against them, and I will be known among them when I have judged you. |
| 35:12 | And you shall know that I am Jehovah. I have heard all your revilings which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, Desolation! They are given to us for food! |
| 35:13 | And you magnified with your mouth against Me and have multiplied your words against Me; I have heard. |
| 35:14 | So says the Lord Jehovah: As all the earth rejoices, I will make you a ruin. |
