Proverbs - Chapter: 9

>
9:1Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
9:2She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
9:3She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
9:4Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
9:5Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
9:6Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
9:7He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
9:8Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
9:9Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
9:10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
9:11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
9:12If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
9:13A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
9:14For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
9:15To call passengers who go right on their ways:
9:16Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
9:17Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
9:18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

9:1Wisedome hath built her house, and hewen out her seuen pillars.
9:2She hath killed her vitailes, drawen her wine, and prepared her table.
9:3She hath sent forth her maydens and cryeth vpon the highest places of the citie, saying,
9:4Who so is simple, let him come hither, and to him that is destitute of wisedome, she sayth,
9:5Come, and eate of my meate, and drinke of the wine that I haue drawen.
9:6Forsake your way, ye foolish, and ye shall liue: and walke in the way of vnderstanding.
9:7He that reproueth a scorner, purchaseth to himselfe shame: and he that rebuketh the wicked, getteth himselfe a blot.
9:8Rebuke not a scorner, least he hate thee: but rebuke a wise man, and he will loue thee.
9:9Giue admonition to the wise, and he will be the wiser: teache a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
9:10The beginning of wisedome is the feare of the Lord, and the knowledge of holy things, is vnderstanding.
9:11For thy dayes shalbe multiplied by me, and the yeeres of thy life shalbe augmented.
9:12If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thy selfe, and if thou be a scorner, thou alone shalt suffer.
9:13A foolish woman is troublesome: she is ignorant, and knoweth nothing.
9:14But she sitteth at the doore of her house on a seate in the hie places of the citie,
9:15To call them that passe by the way, that go right on their way, saying,
9:16Who so is simple, let him come hither, and to him that is destitute of wisedome, shee sayth also,
9:17Stollen waters are sweete, and hid bread is pleasant.
9:18But he knoweth not, that ye dead are there, and that her ghestes are in the depth of hell.
