Psalms - Chapter: 107

>
107:1O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
107:2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
107:3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
107:4They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
107:5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
107:6Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
107:7And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
107:8Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
107:9For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
107:10Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
107:11Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
107:12Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
107:13Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
107:14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
107:15Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
107:16For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
107:17Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
107:18Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
107:19Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
107:20He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
107:21Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
107:22And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
107:23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
107:24These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
107:25For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
107:26They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
107:27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
107:28Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
107:29He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
107:30Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
107:31Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
107:32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
107:33He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
107:34A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
107:35He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
107:36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
107:37And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
107:38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
107:39Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
107:40He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
107:41Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
107:42The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
107:43Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

107:1Praise the Lord, because he is good: for his mercie endureth for euer.
107:2Let them, which haue bene redeemed of the Lord, shewe how he hath deliuered them from the hand of the oppressour,
107:3And gathered them out of the lands, from the East and from the West, from the North and from the South.
107:4When they wandered in the desert and wildernesse out of the waie, and founde no citie to dwell in,
107:5Both hungrie and thirstie, their soule fainted in them.
107:6Then they cried vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he deliuered them from their distresse,
107:7And led them forth by the right way, that they might goe to a citie of habitation.
107:8Let them therefore confesse before ye Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderfull woorkes before the sonnes of men.
107:9For he satisfied the thirstie soule, and filled the hungrie soule with goodnesse.
107:10They that dwell in darkenesse and in the shadowe of death, being bounde in miserie and yron,
107:11Because they rebelled against the wordes of the Lord, and despised the counsell of the most High,
107:12When he humbled their heart with heauines, then they fell downe and there was no helper.
107:13Then they cried vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he deliuered them from their distresse.
107:14He brought them out of darkenes, and out of the shadowe of death, and brake their bandes asunder.
107:15Let them therefore cofesse before the Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderfull woorkes before the sonnes of men.
107:16For hee hath broken the gates of brasse, and brast the barres of yron asunder.
107:17Fooles by reason of their transgression, and because of their iniquities are afflicted.
107:18Their soule abhorreth al meat, and they are brought to deaths doore.
107:19Then they crie vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he deliuereth them from their distresse.
107:20He sendeth his worde and healeth them, and deliuereth them from their graues.
107:21Let them therefore cofesse before the Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderful workes before the sonnes of men,
107:22And let them offer sacrifices of praise, and declare his workes with reioycing.
107:23They that goe downe to the sea in ships, and occupie by the great waters,
107:24They see the woorkes of the Lord, and his wonders in the deepe.
107:25For he commaundeth and raiseth the stormie winde, and it lifteth vp the waues thereof.
107:26They mount vp to the heauen, and descend to ye deepe, so that their soule melteth for trouble.
107:27They are tossed to and from, and stagger like a drunken man, and all their cunning is gone.
107:28Then they crie vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresse.
107:29He turneth the storme to calme, so that the waues thereof are still.
107:30When they are quieted, they are glad, and hee bringeth them vnto the hauen, where they would be.
107:31Let them therfore confesse before the Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderfull woorkes before the sonnes of men.
107:32And let them exalt him in the Congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the Elders.
107:33He turneth the floodes into a wildernesse, and the springs of waters into drinesse,
107:34And a fruitfull land into barrennes for the wickednes of them that dwell therein.
107:35Againe hee turneth the wildernesse into pooles of water, and the drie lande into water springs.
107:36And there he placeth the hungrie, and they builde a citie to dwell in,
107:37And sowe the fieldes, and plant vineyardes, which bring foorth fruitfull increase.
107:38For he blesseth them, and they multiplie exceedingly, and he diminisheth not their cattell.
107:39Againe men are diminished, and brought lowe by oppression, euill and sorowe.
107:40He powreth contempt vpon princes, and causeth them to erre in desert places out of the way.
107:41Yet he raiseth vp the poore out of miserie, and maketh him families like a flocke of sheepe.
107:42The righteous shall see it, and reioyce, and all iniquitie shall stoppe her mouth.
107:43Who is wise that hee may obserue these things? for they shall vnderstand the louing kindnesse of the Lord.
