Matthew - Chapter: 25

>
25:1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
25:2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
25:3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
25:4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
25:5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
25:6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
25:7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
25:8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
25:9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
25:10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
25:11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
25:12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
25:13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
25:14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
25:15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
25:16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
25:17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
25:18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
25:19After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
25:20And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
25:21His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
25:22He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
25:23His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
25:24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25:25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
25:26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
25:27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
25:28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
25:29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
25:30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
25:31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
25:32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
25:33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
25:34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
25:35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
25:36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
25:37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
25:38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
25:39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
25:40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
25:41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
25:42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
25:43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
25:44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
25:45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
25:46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

25:1Then the kingdome of heauen shalbe likened vnto tenne virgins, which tooke their lampes, and went foorth to meete the bridegrome.
25:2And fiue of them were wise, and fiue foolish.
25:3The foolish tooke their lampes, but tooke none oyle with them.
25:4But the wise tooke oyle in their vessels with their lampes.
25:5Nowe while the bridegrome taried long, all slumbred and slept.
25:6And at midnight there was a crie made, Behold, the bridegrome commeth: goe out to meete him.
25:7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lampes.
25:8And the foolish said to the wise, Giue vs of your oyle, for our lampes are out.
25:9But the wise answered, saying, Not so, lest there will not be ynough for vs and you: but goe ye rather to them that sell, and bye for your selues.
25:10And while they went to bye, the bridegrome came: and they that were readie, went in with him to the wedding, and the gate was shut.
25:11Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to vs.
25:12But he answered, and said, Verely I say vnto you, I knowe you not.
25:13Watch therfore: for ye know neither the day, nor the houre, when the sonne of man will come.
25:14For the kingdome of heauen is as a man that going into a strange countrey, called his seruants, and deliuered to them his goods.
25:15And vnto one he gaue fiue talents, and to an other two, and to another one, to euery man after his own ability, and straightway went from home.
25:16Then he that had receiued the fiue talents, went and occupied with them, and gained other fiue talents.
25:17Likewise also, he that receiued two, he also gained other two.
25:18But he that receiued that one, went and digged it in the earth, and hid his masters money.
25:19But after a long season, the master of those seruants came, and reckoned with them.
25:20Then came he that had receiued fiue talents, and brought other fiue talents, saying, Master, thou deliueredst vnto me fiue talents: behold, I haue gained with them other fiue talents.
25:21Then his master saide vnto him, It is well done good seruant and faithfull, Thou hast bene faithfull in litle, I will make thee ruler ouer much: enter into thy masters ioy.
25:22Also he that had receiued two talents, came, and said, Master, thou deliueredst vnto me two talents: behold, I haue gained two other talets more.
25:23His master saide vnto him, It is well done good seruant, and faithfull, Thou hast bene faithfull in litle, I will make thee ruler ouer much: enter into thy masters ioy.
25:24Then he which had receiued the one talent, came, and said, Master, I knewe that thou wast an hard man, which reapest where thou sowedst not, and gatherest where thou strawedst not:
25:25I was therefore afraide, and went, and hid thy talent in the earth: behold, thou hast thine owne.
25:26And his master answered, and said vnto him, Thou euill seruant, and slouthfull, thou knewest that I reape where I sowed not, and gather where I strawed not.
25:27Thou oughtest therefore to haue put my money to ye exchangers, and then at my comming should I haue receiued mine owne with vantage.
25:28Take therefore the talent from him, and giue it vnto him which hath tenne talents.
25:29For vnto euery man that hath, it shall be giuen, and he shall haue abundance, and from him that hath not, euen that he hath, shalbe taken away.
25:30Cast therefore that vnprofitable seruant into vtter darkenes: there shalbe weeping and gnasshing of teeth.
25:31And when the Sonne of man commeth in his glory, and all the holy Angels with him, then shall he sit vpon the throne of his glorie,
25:32And before him shalbe gathered all nations, and he shall seperate them one from another, as a shepheard separateth the sheepe from ye goates.
25:33And he shall set the sheepe on his right hand, and the goates on the left.
25:34Then shall ye king say to them on his right hand, Come ye blessed of my father: take the inheritance of the kingdome prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
25:35For I was an hungred, and ye gaue me meate: I thirsted, and ye gaue me drinke: I was a stranger, and ye tooke me in vnto you.
25:36I was naked, and ye clothed me: I was sicke, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came vnto me.
25:37Then shall the righteous answere him, saying, Lord, when sawe we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or a thirst, and gaue thee drinke?
25:38And when sawe we thee a stranger, and tooke thee in vnto vs? or naked, and clothed thee?
25:39Or when sawe we thee sicke, or in prison, and came vnto thee?
25:40And the King shall answere, and say vnto them, Verely I say vnto you, in as much as ye haue done it vnto one of the least of these my brethre, ye haue done it to me.
25:41Then shall he say vnto them on ye left hand, Depart from me ye cursed, into euerlasting fire, which is prepared for the deuill and his angels.
25:42For I was an hungred, and ye gaue me no meate: I thirsted, and ye gaue me no drinke:
25:43I was a stranger, and ye tooke me not in vnto you: I was naked, and ye clothed me not: sicke, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
25:44Then shall they also answere him, saying, Lord, when sawe we thee an hungred, or a thirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sicke, or in prison, and did not minister vnto thee?
25:45Then shall he answere them, and say, Verely I say vnto you, in as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
25:46And these shall goe into euerlasting paine, and the righteous into life eternall.

25:1Then ye kyngdome of heven shalbe lykened vnto .x. virgins which toke their lampes and wet to mete the brydgrome:
25:2fyve of them were folysshe and fyve were wyse.
25:3The folysshe toke their lampes but toke none oyle wt the.
25:4But ye wyse tooke oyle wt the in their vesselles wt their lampes also.
25:5Whill the brydgrome taryed all slombred and slepte.
25:6And even at mydnyght there was a crye made: beholde the brydgrome cometh goo out against him.
25:7Then all those virgins arose and prepared their lampes.
25:8And ye folysshe sayde to ye wyse: geve vs of youre oyle for our lampes goo out?
25:9but ye wyse answered sayinge. Not so lest ther be not ynough for vs and you: but goo rather to them yt sell and by for youre selves.
25:10And whill they went to bye ye brydgrome came: and they yt were redy went in with him to ye weddinge and the gate was shett vp:
25:11Afterwardes came also ye other virgins sayinge: master master open to vs.
25:12But he answered and sayde: verely I saye vnto you: I knowe not you.
25:13Watche therefore: for ye knowe nether the daye nor yet the houre when the sonne of man shall come.
25:14Lykwyse as a certeyne ma redy to take his iorney to a straunge coutre called his servautes and delivered to them his gooddes.
25:15And vnto one he gave .v. talentes to another .ii. and to another one: to every man after his abilite and streyght waye departed.
25:16Then he that had receaved the fyve talentes went and bestowed them and wanne other fyve talentes.
25:17Lykwyse he that receaved .ii. gayned other .ii.
25:18But he yt receaved ye one went and digged a pit in the erth and hyd his masters money.
25:19After a longe season ye lorde of those servauntes came and rekened with the.
25:20Then came he yt had receaved fyve talentes and brought other fyve talentes sayinge: master thou deliveredst vnto one fyve talentes: beholde I have gayned wt the fyve talentes moo.
25:21The his master sayde vnto him: well good servaut and faithfull. Thou hast bene faithfull in lytell I will make the ruler over moche: entre in into thy masters ioye.
25:22Also he that receaved .ii. talentes came and sayde: master thou deliveredest vnto me .ii. talentes: beholde I have wone .ii. other talentes with them.
25:23And his master sayde vnto him well good servaunt and faithfull. Thou hast bene faithfull in lytell I wyll make the ruler over moche: go in into thy masters ioye.
25:24Then he which had receaved ye one talent came and sayd: master I considered yt thou wast an harde man which repest where thou sowedst not and gadderest where thou strawedst not
25:25and was therfore afrayde and went and hyd thy talent in ye erth: Beholde thou hast thyn awne.
25:26His master answered and sayde vnto him: thou evyll servaut and slewthfull thou knewest yt I repe where I sowed not and gaddre where I strawed not:
25:27thou oughtest therfore to have had my money to ye chaugers and then at my comynge shulde I have receaved myne awne with vauntage.
25:28Take therfore the talent from him and geve it vnto him which hath .x. talentes.
25:29For vnto every man that hath shalbe geven and he shall have aboundance: and from him that hath not shalbe taken awaye even that he hath.
25:30And cast yt vnprofitable servaunt into vtter dercknes: there shalbe wepynge and gnasshinge of teeth.
25:31When the sonne of ma cometh in his glorie and all the holy angels wt him then shall he syt vpon the seate of his glorie
25:32and before him shalbe Gaddred all nacions. And he shall seperate the one from a nother as a shepherde deuideth the shepe from the gootes.
25:33And he shall set the shepe on his right honde and the gotes on the lyfte.
25:34Then shall the kynge saye to them on his right honde: Come ye blessed chyldren of my father inheret ye the kyngdo prepared for you from the beginninge of the worlde.
25:35For I was anhongred and ye gave me meate. I thursted and ye gave me drinke. I was herbourlesse and ye lodged me.
25:36I was naked and ye clothed me. I was sicke and ye visited me. I was in preson and ye came vnto me.
25:37Then shall ye righteous answere him sayinge master whe sawe we ye anhongred and feed the? or a thurst and gave ye drinke?
25:38when sawe we ye herbourlesse and lodged the? or naked and clothed the?
25:39or when sawe we the sicke or in preson and came vnto the?
25:40And ye kynge shall answere and saye vnto them: verely I saye vnto you: in as moche as ye have done it vnto one of ye leest of these my brethren ye have done it to me.
25:41Then shall the kynge saye vnto them that shalbe on the lyfte hande: departe from me ye coursed into everlastinge fire which is prepared for the devyll and his angels.
25:42For I was an hungred and ye gave me no meate. I thursted and ye gave me no drinke.
25:43I was herbourlesse and ye lodged me not. I was naked and ye clothed me not. I was sicke and in preson and ye visited me not.
25:44Then shall they also answere him sayinge: master when sawe we the an hungred or a thurst or herbourlesse or naked or sicke or in preson and did not ministre vnto the?
25:45Then shall he answere the and saye: Verely I saye vnto you in as moche as ye did it not to one of ye leest of these ye did it not to me.
25:46And these shall go into everlastinge payne: And the righteous into lyfe eternall.
