Job - Chapter: 36

>
36:1Elihu also proceeded, and said,
36:2Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.
36:3I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
36:4For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.
36:5Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.
36:6He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.
36:7He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
36:8And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;
36:9Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
36:10He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
36:11If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
36:12But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
36:13But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.
36:14They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
36:15He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
36:16Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.
36:17But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.
36:18Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.
36:19Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
36:20Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
36:21Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
36:22Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
36:23Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?
36:24Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
36:25Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.
36:26Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
36:27For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
36:28Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
36:29Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?
36:30Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
36:31For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.
36:32With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.
36:33The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.

36:1Elihu also proceeded and sayde,
36:2Suffer me a litle, and I will instruct thee: for I haue yet to speake on Gods behalfe.
36:3I will fetche my knowledge afarre off, and will attribute righteousnes vnto my Maker.
36:4For truely my wordes shall not be false, and he that is perfect in knowledge, speaketh with thee.
36:5Behold, the mighty God casteth away none that is mighty and valiant of courage.
36:6He mainteineth not the wicked, but he giueth iudgement to the afflicted.
36:7He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous, but they are with Kings in ye throne, where he placeth them for euer: thus they are exalted.
36:8And if they bee bound in fetters and tyed with the cordes of affliction,
36:9Then will he shewe them their worke and their sinnes, because they haue bene proude.
36:10He openeth also their eare to discipline, and commandeth them that they returne from iniquity.
36:11If they obey and serue him, they shall end their dayes in prosperity, and their yeres in pleasures.
36:12But if they wil not obey, they shall passe by the sworde, and perish without knowledge.
36:13But the hypocrites of heart increase the wrath: for they call not when he bindeth them.
36:14Their soule dyeth in youth, and their life among the whoremongers.
36:15He deliuereth the poore in his affliction, and openeth their eare in trouble.
36:16Euen so woulde he haue taken thee out of the streight place into a broade place and not shut vp beneath: and that which resteth vpon thy table, had bene full of fat.
36:17But thou art ful of the iudgement of the wicked, though iudgement and equitie maintaine all things.
36:18For Gods wrath is, least hee should take that away in thine abundance: for no multitude of giftes can deliuer thee.
36:19Wil he regard thy riches? he regardeth not golde, nor all them that excel in strength.
36:20Be not carefull in the night, howe he destroyeth the people out of their place.
36:21Take thou heede: looke not to iniquitie: for thou hast chosen it rather then affliction.
36:22Beholde, God exalteth by his power: what teacher is like him?
36:23Who hath appointed to him his way? or who can say, Thou hast done wickedly?
36:24Remember that thou magnifie his worke, which men behold.
36:25All men see it, and men beholde it afarre off.
36:26Beholde, God is excellent, and we knowe him not, neither can the nomber of his yeres bee searched out.
36:27When he restraineth the droppes of water, the rayne powreth down by the vapour thereof,
36:28Which raine the cloudes do droppe and let fall abundantly vpon man.
36:29Who can know the diuisions of ye clouds and the thunders of his tabernacle?
36:30Beholde, he spreadeth his light vpon it, and couereth the bottome of the sea.
36:31For thereby hee iudgeth the people, and giueth meate abundantly.
36:32He couereth the light with the clouds, and commandeth them to go against it.
36:33His companion sheweth him thereof, and there is anger in rising vp.
